Excellent, very satisfied!

I bought the Apollo for use in home studio, especially for demo recording – I am a guitarist in a rock band. I have experiences (and own/ed) with Two Notes Torpedo and Kemper, but like the Apollo for convenience a lot. The recording of guitar (and voice) is very easy – very smooth and stable workflow – and the playing feel is very good. The sound of plugins (that I use ie Friedmann, Tube Screamer, Studer ...) is simply top! At first it seems that the price is high (this is a reason that I waited so long to buy it), but when I compare how fast I can get top results now, I would say worth the price. Also monitoring through Apollo (or playing mp3) is a top league, I really notice how much better I can hear the music now.

Amazing work flow

I was blow away by the work flow in this little machine, its amazing, yes in line mode with cero volume i can bypass the preamp and use my Bae Neve 1073, yes i can process audio with my SSL hardware using the virtual output, and the AD/DA sounds very very very good, not like cheap converters, i use focal monitors and believme, this little machine sound like 2 000 or 3000 dollars converters, love it, perfect for project studio

Apollo Twin is great

I've been using the Apollo Twin for three weeks and there is no problem so far I've been using it. The interface is smooth and works really well with Ableton and Logic. I'm loving it!

Easy and superb quality

I receive my Apollo Twin Duo about a month ago. I have to say I'm astonished with the easy of use and the studio quality that I get with this interface. Is pricy? Of course, but worth EVERY penny and more. unison technology is one of the best features that this have. I'm using it running Logic Pro X. Simple to operate, jaw dropping quality and for the money? worth every penny. From my part UA has earn a lifetime customer from now on.

Had problems at first- but now its OK

For some reason, when first installed it worked like a charm, then the next day bad noise.
I was told to uninstall and reinstall the software. I had a tech from Sweetwater remote in to do that just so I would not mess it up.
That took care of the noise.

The unit sounds great- clean crisp and delivers great quality . One issue that bothers me is that the Apollo Twin with Thunderbolt tends to run a lot hotter than I would like. Purchased a whisper fan to keep the temperature down.

They need to get this unit running cooler.

Apollo twin interface

Just added an apollo twin to my existing apollo duo. I needed a couple additional inputs and more bDSP power. The twin integrated flawlessly in a couple of minutes through thunderbolt. Everything was recognized by rhe UAD software and my DAW in a few seconds. I also can take advantage of the portability of the twin ror remote sessions a laptop the twin anda mic and you're ready to go.

Could be so much better with little effort from UA

I've been on a spree lately after discovering how much I love UAD plugins. Started with the Octo Complete, then added the 8P. Since the 8P is out of my reach I realized how lame it is to have to switch out of Logic to the Console app for basics, like volume (which, when suddenly blaring or feeding back may need much quicker access).

My solution was the Twin, after seeing how tightly the Twin is integrated with Console app. I've also seen in a UAD video how the Twin acts, somewhat, as a remote to bigger, out-of-reach, pieces.

For any planning this approach take note: it amounts to a $900 volume knob (and dongle to use my plugs if traveling).

Fingers crossed UA adds more integration between Twin and remote UA piece with a firmware update.

Brilliant in both build and performance ... GREAT upgrade!

A truly AMAZING piece of kit. I had the MOTU 828Mk2 since 2002 and when that began to die bought the Apogee Duet a couple of years ago but then that did a Thelma and Louise over a cliff one day and had to go back to the 'on crutches' MOTU but it still worked and l only really used it for vocals. But when that also died l was forced to upgrade. I was considering going the MOTU route again but also looked (again) at the Apogee and MOTU Track 16 but the fact that the break out cable was heavy enough to drag the unit off the desk put me off so plumped for the Apollo Twin. I'm no expert on these things but l would have to say that Apollo beats MOTU and Apogee by miles. Soooo simple to use, solid build and amazing results. Would HIGHLY recommend

Amazing sound and functionality!

I'm going to keep this review short and simple. This device has a great performance. It reduces the drain on your DAW and has a great mic amp. The plugins are great and it's easy to use. Definitely an investment worth making if you want excellent quality performance out of your setup without spending thousands upon thousands of dollars.

Sounds amazing, one thing that usually gets cut short during recording sessions is backup vocals and harmonies and I often have to finish them at home, and the unison technology enables me to get high quality, and characterful tracks with low latency and without having to rent preamps. The console gives me the feel of an analog front end, and behaves with all of my other software.

Absolutely love the twin duo. I was trying to decide between this and another product and I am glad I took a friends advice and bought this unit. It was like someone took a wet blanket off of my recordings compared to what I was using before. Very clear and full sound. The apollo's built-in preamps sound great as well as do the plugins that run in unison. I would recommend this without hesitation!
