UNIVERSAL AUDIO LAUNCHES TWO NEW UAD WORLDWIDE PRODUCT PROMOTIONS
SOLO 100 & UAD 100 UAD$ VOUCHERS

AES SHOW, PARIS, FRANCE - 20 MAY 2006 • Universal Audio, a manufacturer of high-quality vintage audio hardware and DSP software plug-ins for digital audio workstations, today announced two summer product promotions to run June 1st to July 31st.  The SOLO 100 and UAD 100 both reward customers with UAD$100 vouchers.

"As part of our plan to reward UA customer loyalty, these promo's offer UAD users a great opportunity to get UAD$100 vouchers to use at the my.uaudio.com store for plug-in purchases." said Mike Barnes, VP of Marketing for Universal Audio.  " What's more, these UAD$100 vouchers don't expire so customers can wait for new releases like the Neve(r) plug-ins. These vouchers can also be combined with other UA discount coupons."

  • Buy and Register a SOLO/110 or SOLO/610 Mic-Pre & DI Box and get a UAD$100 voucher for each SOLO purchase valid for all UAD plug-ins.

UAD 100 Promo: (June 1st thru August 31st 2006)

  • Buy and Register a 2nd, 3rd or 4th UAD-1 or UAD-1e DSP card and get a UAD$100 voucher for each extra card purchased valid for all UAD plug-ins.
  • This offer applies to all UAD-1 bundles: Project PAK, Flexi PAK, Studio PAK, Ultra PAK and the new UAD-1e Express PAK and UAD-1e Expert PAK.

About the UAD-1 (PCI) & UAD-1e (PCIe) DSP Cards
At the heart of every UAD DSP Card & Powered Plug-Ins bundle (PAK) is the same revolutionary UAD DSP technology. Because of its high resolution, floating-point processing, ultra high-speed memory and hardware dithering, the UAD-1 delivers outstanding high-headroom sound quality at sample rates from 32 to 192kHz. Unlike other DSP cards, the UAD-1 uses a single, unpartitioned vector processor, allowing for larger and more sophisticated plug-in algorithms. These algorithms offer a new level of power and complexity not found with host-based plug-ins. By reducing the burden on the computer's CPU, the host DAW application can deliver more tracks, automation and native effects or instruments.
