One of the best chorus plug-ins around...does not make the signal weaker, instead if used at minimum settings it fattens up pads, synths, guitars, bass...
I really didn't expect to get very excited about this plugin, I mean, it's a Chorus.
That was until I tossed it on my bass track, so sweet, nicest sounding chorus I have ever used. Then I tried it parallel on a drum mix just for the hell of it, mind blown, gorgeous, silly, and very cool.
This is probably the most fun I have had with any plugin, get it, you'll thank me later!
This a such a beautiful sounding plugin , Another must have
This is a must have for guitarists and bassists.Sounds and behaves just like the vintage pedal.
Killin' re-creation. Beautiful Sound, Analog Vibe, Delicious!
I was really skeptical of using this instead of the box, it is so close that I actually prefer using this on my Rhodes so I'm not stuck with the recorded chorus on track. It's a great near perfect emulation
Universal Audio plug-in is vere nice Roland CE-1 Plug-In
...Oh, and the occasional crackles I get from my hardware unit are gone too :) And now I get to use multiple instances of it. Adds fairy dust to synths, organs and backing vocals like little else does. Highly recommended.
I had the original pedal in the nineties and recklessly sold it. Well, I have it back, and multiple instances of it. The UA plugin sounds just as good (without the noise), has the beautifully subdued highs of the original and its perfect for backing vocals, vibraphone and electric pianos. In parallel it can add extra body and dimension to just about anything!
just like the old school boss chorus pedals i used when i first started playing the guitar
great chorus...works awesome in Aux/Send mode as well as insert
get this thing now!
Great sounding chorus. My only beef is that I can't insert it in the input channel when I want a very subtle effect. With the intensity and output controls turned all the way down it's still too much. So I'm forced to use it on an aux bus. Same issue with the Roland Dimension D chorus which doesn't have output control.
this is the most acurate chorus sound Ive ever heard
only missing a wet-dry, but its ok
Thsi is a very nice emulation of the hardware which I used a lot in the late '70s. I'm not sure I could differentiate between the two had I a chance to do so.
Thanks UA, you've done a stellar job on this, and your other products as well!
A happy UAD user in Oz,
At first glance, a simple device, with simple controls but, "Out of the box", just that amazing Sound we use to hear at top Record Labels albums. The modeling is perfect, all those 80's Chorus are over there. The soft and the weird ones.
As a producer and guitar player, trying to use with my amps, I was very surprised that the best "guitar take" was a Strato to DI input (Radial), with a "Boss CE-1" Insert with a "Roland Dimension D" Send and a Plate Reverb Send. I feel like living the 80's again.
I'm sure this set will drive my next album.
Thank you all at UA for this gift.
A really nice chorus. Good for guitars & back vocal!
This is a vintage chorus so it means the high frequencies are a little out.
As you know some analog hardware synthesizers lack chrous.
That was the idea for me to buy this one. We all know it sounds good on guitars and the unit was made to be a guitar rig. As long as I tested the plugin I believe it is a little harsh to be used on lead vocals and too lo-fi to be a studio chorus. So ... Then I realized it could be nice on rich and synthetic sounds or signals which are not produced acoustic.
If you listen to other modeled vintage stomps you will hear their cheap sound but universal audio is something.
Thanks again for producing high quality low quality stuff... :D
i love the BOSS CE-1 Chorus it makes you feel like you are using the hardware great job uad i am looking forward to more great emulations in the future
I've had the CE-1 for a few weeks now and like all the other UA emulations I have, I am more than happy with the sound of this plug-in.
I can't fault anything about UA plug-ins. I have Neve and SSL vintage outboard gear in my studio but am finding I am working in the box more and more since I purchased the UAD-2-QUAD and Neve bundle.
The only thing I would like to see is a reduction in price on plugins. I purchase as much as I can afford, when I can afford it. But I ideally would like to replace all my other plug-ins with UA emulations. I honestly think they are that good.
Wonderful recreation! This plugin is giving me that joy division/new order bass chorus. My only wish is you guys add an lfo sync so it will be in sync with daw (hint)
absolutely love this plug in. lush sounding chorus and pitch shift/vibrato. as a guitarist/producer i own various hardware from the digitech gsp1101 to the boss gt8.i can honestly say the ua plug in surpass these hardware units by a mile. am slowly working my way through and purchasing all the ua plug ins. love them. i run an imac,a mac book pro and cubase 6 with 2 mr units. i have loads of plug ins but since i purchased the ua solo i have not used any of my other plug ins. i am totally converted to ua and there plugins. i am also looking at getting an quad omni as well. keep up the good work guys n gals..... ps any thoughts about doing a guitar amp plug in....best sounding amps. boogie/soldano etc etc. would defo buy it....
