This is such a phenomenal chorus plugin. I am a HUGE "stereo image freak." This plugin just gives a special swirling stereo width to almost any source material. I've used it on mixes for various artists in different genres, from Enrique Iglesias, to Boyz II Men, to J. Balvin, and many more. It NEVER disappoints! Amazing effect.
The Dimension D plugin doesn't do a lot of things, but what it does do is simply amazing. Set the plugin up as a Send and dial in as much (or as little) as you want.
If you have two mono sources like acoustic guitar and voice, put the guitar through the Dimension D plugin to give the song instant stereo width. I use this plugin on literally every song I mix.
Couldn't be more pleased, I always used the Dim D on my mixes back in the 80s and 90s and feel very 'at home' having it in my system again.
It's the little magic, which I needed! Works great on almost everything!
If you want something to get noticed in the mix this will do it ,,,,, I been putting it in an effect loop to blend it . If I had a mix control knob I would insert it on a channel . Its a lot different than your average Chorus effect
Absolutely beautiful. Been trying to achieve this with other choruses, but nothing came close to this. One of my favourite UAD plugs.
Impressive recreation of the original hardware and the definitely one of the best chorus plugs around. Could have been improved with a wet/dry control as I tend to use it in a subtle way on the low settings to add space and depth on reverbs and delays. This plugin is good value compared to the hardware and combines ease of use with very low DSP demand.
A stunning, one of a kind effect. One glaring weakness is the lack of a mix/wet&dry knob. At its lowest settings the effect is still very strong, requiring AUX sends to be used most of the time. A 5 star sound but a cumbersome interface. Still recommend it
I read other reviews and decided to demo this plug in. It added a sense of openness to my all my track. I saw that a lot of folks where using as a direct plug in but I felt it was too much so I decided to use it as an aux/bus track and feed my main and background vocal tracks in to it and it work out like a charm.
It's like a touch of God in Vocals and Basses in your mix, thank you so much. Mr. Alexandre - Estudio MIKs , Sao Paulo - Brasil.
This plugin can help stark-naked sounding elements blend into the mix nicely with a kind of warm spacious glow - seems to be more magical than a plain chorus.
Actually i have longtime looking for something like Dimension D, because i wasn't not so be agree to have to pay 199$ for a chorus. Then i have looked for everywhere, and always the same answer ... " there is nothing which is just like the Roland Dimension D" So i had to admit that i should bought it ... That was true, i could have found thanks to this plug in the definition on bass line i was looked for in order to do some westcoast, Gfunk stuff, so even if it sounds like a little expensive, keep it mind if there is no similar plugin it means that big producer use this one ! so go ahead !
My initial hesitation was limited options on this Plug-in. Nevertheless, the improvement within its options and its professional enhancement to tracks (mine at least) has made this Plug-in a highly sought out one for me. I am glad I went for it and recommend it as its cost is reasonable for its delivered improvments.
Used the hardware version of this for many years, cant tell the difference. Amazing plug in for vocals. if you've never heard this being used trust me you will love it.
The dimension is a must have for me - it kicks even a single guitar track left and right widely out of the boxes (or just as a pad in between) - very useful if there is no guitar double track (i.e. in live recordings). Same happens with background vocals - very useful if there are just one or two backgrounders. I've tried to combine it with the MXR Flanger (heard from a colleague who use that "couple" in real hardware as part of his studio "magic") where the MXR drives the dimension very flexible and musically cool, but it takes a bit time and experiments to get out ultracool results from this couple - but it is worth to take that time. I can understand why many studios hide this parts somewhere in the back, but using it in many mixes.
i really enjoy the Dim D, it ties things together really subtly, nice and goo-ey if that is what you are going for
Exelent plug-in !!! Esu labai laimingas ji isigijes. Thank for UA!
The Dimension D does one thing only but it does it extremely well... No other plugin I've used can achieve this type of chorus. Slap it on a track and you get an instant ear to ear grin! Essential plugin!!
I got the Roland bundle with the CS-1, Dim-D, and Space Echo....what a fantastic bundle. Really gives some imperfect processing warmth.
I use the CS-1 for Chorus, and the Dimension D is added on to give stereo spread to my guitars, which it excels at.
A very good plugin.
The Best Thing on Acc. Guitars, Backing Vocals and Acc Instruments....
Perfect...... Thanks UAD.....
