Softube Definitely not UAD

Not to impressed with this plug-in. definitely not a UAD plugin. Nothing like the video, or at least I couldn't get it to preform very good. As an Amp Simulator I would not recommend it, there's a lot of them out there that are a lot better in my opinion.

Nice but not nice enough so far

I own Fenders (135watt twin, tweed champ '54, '58, '63 vibrolux, ~'65 v.reverb, resissue d. reverb) and vintage '63 AC30 TB. While I really like the DEMO clean tone (Vol <2-ish) on the sims for Brown and Green, I can't say the overdriven sounds are realistic to the originals - harsh, fizzy. Not unusable when dialed in but not accurate. Also the Green does not respond to volume "drive" at all like my vintage but maybe mine has had mods along the way or needs recapping (far as I know it's not modded). Also as others have said these do not clean up if at all to guitar volume knob which is almost a deal breaker. I may still buy the plug-in for clean tones, which are very usable but I can run loadboxes on the real thing too. I do not like the white amp at all, though it can be dialed in for a useable tone. So it's not an immediate must buy, not bad but not a replacement by a long shot. It needs to be cheaper to help the decision. Btw, I do like the Bass Amp but I have none real to compare.

good amplifier tool

This amp is a good sound, but I did not like the low sound very much.

A little disappointing

To be honest, this is the first time I'm not AMAZED by a UA plugin.. probably would not recommend. It's O.K. but not super high quality. Semi usable. Definitely try before you buy.

Softube amp review

Great sound, I just wish we could add some stomp boxes effects on it.

The best ever solution for tracking and sketching

With this bundle you can track guitar and bass with no latency and ... No sound at all :) models are great even if the number could be improved . Great sound but should give options for pedals. Quite limited in options compared to Amplitube and Guitar rig, but I find this bundle the best friend of an Apollo rig if you track with no amps and just think of reamp or simulation later on. The bass amp is really great. I got rid of all Pod and alike, this pluging bundle does what I need and then I just shape the sound later on. Waited for this a lot. Now finger crossed also BX rocktrack .. Could join the happy UAD platform ??

Bring Back Nigel to UAD-2 PLS!-2

To be clear, Softube amps are a great addition especially with Apollo, I'm so very happy with it but in all honesty, I do miss Nigel now that I have Apollo to go but can't have Nigel with it, fortunately still being able to experiment and enjoy it on my very old system which is not portable/in the field which is where I would need it most for band recordings...Thx UAD for everything else as usual... ; r )

Bring Back Nigel to UAD-2 PLS!

I've tried Amp Room and its good but the only reason I still have a UAD-1 in my old tower is so I can have and is my "go to plug" for great guitar experience.
I LOVE NIGEL and can only imagine UAD making it so much better if that is possible, which I'm sure they can...Up to the task boys and girls?? Thx as usual for all the other grea offerings. Play On, ; r )

Not Nigel...

That's it really. For a guitar modelling plug with a straightforward interface and a killer sound, this doesn't even come close to Preflex + Gate Comp. In absolute terms, it's a decent enough offering, but Universal Audio already had this one nailed...at least for guitar.
