Great Card
Great card,. Although I’m having a slight issue as I have to boot the computer twice for it to load drivers. I haven’t contacted support as yet as maybe something simple. Excellent bandwidth and better than my previous FireWire satellites . So far so good , would recommend .

Octo PCIe card
Works as advertised. Popped it straight into my Highpoint PCIe/TB enclosure, no problem. Now I'm able to utilize my Capitol Chambers and Ocean Way plugs as I'd like in my mixes. Only quibble is that you can't use the DSP chips during recording, only the ones in the Apollo interface.

A very good sound with a little annoyance.
Early days. Initial impression sound wise is very, very good and I am pleased (check out numerous online audio examples). I was tickled by the subtle rounding in a lush way a Neve pre amp worked on a guitar input. Lovely, it's the little things. Studer tape sim does the trick wonderfully, thank you UAD. However: UAD software has crashed a couple of times which I was surprised by. I am looking into the cause but this was surprising, hence the 4 stars. If just on tone 5 out of 5.

Heavy Lifting
I've never had an issue with installing or usage in my Pro Tools-WIN10x64 rig. It's a workhorse and works like a charm in those moments where sessions get heavy. I gave it only 4 stars because I want to buy another Quad or Octo PCIe for my second rig, but they don't give you free plugins with it like when you buy an Apollo. I'd have to buy all of the same plugins again.

Love these products!
Definitely one of my best investments!! Would get 5 stars if the installer only installed the plugins that you own or at least gave you that option!! Still love the product!!!!!

octを買うべき
初めてのUAD-2導入。
プラグインの素晴らしさのあまり各トラックにインサートしてしまいたくなります。
しかしあっという間にDSPの限界が来ます。
最初からoctをチョイスするべきでした。

Great Quality!
This is great quality, and was fast shipping after ordered. The DSP card I feel is slightly expensive for PCIe technology now in 2018. I purchased an Octo PCIe and it runs alot of plugins but often have to revert back to the Legacy versions to save on DSP. Might have to look into another octo to run 16 cores. But great quality you would expect from UA.

So far so good
Very easy to install, I got into "playing" with my new stuff within a few minutes, built in a mac pro. I got the Quad, which I already found expensive enough, even with the spring offer. I went for a "master" approach, using plugins mainly for my mix return. I run about 6-7 fat ones, and it's close to its limit. For a "by channel" approach, one should definitely go for an Octo. But the damn price...!!!!
Otherwise, the plugins I got do great, no regret. Read my other reviews.

Some tips from a professional mixer for Universal Audio
I like UAD. Never believed plugins can sound like hardware but they are great anyway with their own sound. The reason why I bought UAD PCIe for my home studio is SSL Channel Strip New Version. I like it but I'm not sure I realy like Input and output behaviour. I mean even when you try to be on 0VU level. Definitelly for me it doesn't work like on a real console but I like to use EQ. I'd love to have this plugin as a just an EQ module from this channel strip. I like Neve stuff a lot. Compressors typicaly sound for me too squeezed comparing to analog versions. Difficult to describe but it's like subtle jitter in a compressed signal. I'd like to have it more open and cleaner. So my own opinion I like EQs a lot. I don't like compressors usualy. And what I really desire is to have versions of plugins like SSL Channel Strip without input and output emulation. Only Modules like an EQ module.

UAD-2 PCI-e Octo Card
Works great on Windows 7, really changing my mixing game. 5 stars with Windows 10 support. I have lots of peripheral audio gear, only waiting on UA now before moving to Win 10.

Lots of DSP
When you need lots of DSP to run all those lovely UAD Plugins you have to get an Octo PCIe card. Works great with no problems at all.
I just wish they would offer some more plugins or options. If you already have the Analog Classic Plus bundle then you get nothing with your purchase. UAD stated in an email that the Analog Classic Plus Bundle doesn't have a dollar value so they don't substitute it if you already have it. It's a bit disappointing.

The digital performance was allright. But the card was mecanically dimensioned too small or too short. So i was forced to bend the metal blend quite a lot to be fittet into the computer.
