Developed by Softube for the UAD Powered Plug-Ins platform and Apollo interface, Metal Amp Room gives you some of the best hard rock and heavy metal sounds available, without the need to set up and mic amps and stacks of speaker cabs. Track layer upon layer of power crunch and scorching solos in real time using your Apollo interface. Or, re-amp your recorded tracks via your UAD-2 hardware to give them a whole new dimension of punch and tone.

Metal Amp Room features a meticulously modeled execution of one of the most punchy, aggressive amps available — with a smooth, articulate high end, near-infinite sustain, and a super fast, super tight gate for palm muting.

Realtime Cabinet and Mic Selection
Choose between two distinct 4 x 12” speaker cabinets, and a either a dynamic or condenser mic — or both. Click and drag to change each mic’s positioning and distance from the speaker cab. Close positioning gives a full bodied sound with a lot of presence. Backing the microphone away from the cabinet gives you a thinner sound and lets you hear more of the room. Or you can angle the mic to soften things up a bit.

The combinations of different cabinets, mics, and mic placements give you a near-infinite palette of aggressive sounds, and the included Balancing Stereo preamp lets you easily blend all of these elements. Taken together, Metal Amp Room serves up an extremely powerful package for any hard rock, punk or metal guitarist.
