UAD Powered Plug-Ins
Host Application Notes
Macintosh Platform

Updated December 5, 2007

This page lists known compatibility notes that are not strictly issues with the UAD software. Some host applications have plugin implementations that induce idiosyncratic behavior specific only to that particular host.

Most of these situations are not within our control and/or require updates to the host application. We work closely with most host developers to resolve these issues whenever possible.

Please carefully review the notes for the host application(s) you use with UAD Powered Plug-Ins. These notes are not included in the software bundle.

Older notes for hosts and/or platforms that are no longer supported in the current UAD Powered Plug-Ins version are available here:

Steinberg Nuendo & Cubase SX

  • When offline processing a track with UAD plugins, you must first disable any currently active UAD plugins using the On/Off button in the UAD Performance Meter.

Note: If you disable the UAD plugins in order to do offline processing, and then do a preview of the offline process, the plugins are automatically re-enabled by Nuendo. Therefore, turn off the UAD plugins AFTER previewing, but BEFORE offline processing.

  • In Nuendo/VST Multitrack/Expert settings, we recommend turning OFF Lower Latency.

  • In order for UAD keyboard shortcuts to behave as expected, the user preference "Plug Ins receive key commands" should be selected.
