More Information
This capability is included primarily to resolve a Windows-only issue in Steinberg WaveLab where the Plate 140 'Wet Solo' mode is ignored when the WaveLab 'Process In Place' or 'Create New File' options are used to render audio. Under these conditions, Plate 140 renders in '100% Wet' mode regardless of the Wet Solo state.
However, the feature is also useful for those that prefer to always use Plate 140 on channel inserts (Wet Solo OFF), or when using Plate 140 in the "classic" reverb configuration (placed on an effect group/bus that is configured for use with channel sends) when Wet Solo should be ON.
The WaveLab issue also affects the dry/wet buttons in DreamVerb and RealVerb Pro, but in the opposite way. In those plugins, those buttons default to OFF so if one of them is turned on, it will render as if the button is off. Note: The global defaults .reg files only apply to the Plate 140.
In DreamVerb and RealVerb Pro, the WaveLab issue has a workaround: simply set the mix to the equivalent setting as the button.
