If your UAD-2 system is not performing normally or you are experiencing difficulty, the following troubleshooting steps may remedy the situation. Please note that these methods are not specific to any certain issue. These are fundamental practices to ensure that your UAD-2 system has a strong foundation, and are the methods most often suggested by Universal Audio customer support.
Check system requirements
Ensure that you haven't overlooked any hardware aspect that's required to use UAD-2. To find your product's system requirements, click on the dedicated support page in the UAD Support Center.
Update to the latest software versions
Update to ensure that you have the most recent version of the UAD Powered Plug-ins software version. Installing the latest updates ensures that your software has the latest improvements and enhancements. Find the latest downloads here.
Check compatibility and driver versions for third-party devices
If you're using a third-party sound card/audio interface, MIDI interface, storage system, control surface, or plug-ins, check the support area on the manufacturer's website to be sure that you're using the latest version of the relevant driver or other software for your product. Reinstall your UAD software
Another approach you might consider is reinstalling your UAD software. When doing this we strongly recommend a complete uninstall/reinstall. The instructions for Mac and PC can be found in our troubleshooting FAQ (Mac, Windows).
