Universal Audio, Inc. Hardware Limited Warranty




Universal Audio warrants that its hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year after it has been acquired by the original end-user purchaser or authorized transferee, subject to normal use, as more fully set forth below (“Limited Warranty”). For information about Universal Audio’s transfer policy, please see the UAD Transfer FAQ.

The Limited Warranty described in this document applies only to genuine Universal Audio product(s) (“Product”) when sold by Universal Audio or a Universal Audio authorized reseller, distributor, or dealer. If the first user of the Product transfers it, per Universal Audio’s applicable transfer procedures, the remainder of the warranty term will apply to the recipient.


This warranty does not cover claims for damage due to abuse, neglect, alteration, or attempted repair by unauthorized personnel and is limited to failures arising during normal use that are due to defects in material or workmanship in the Product. This warranty does not cover problems caused by your acts (or failures to act), the acts of others, or events beyond Universal Audio’s reasonable control. Universal Audio does not warrant that use of Universal Audio Products will be uninterrupted or error-free.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to expendable components and is void if the Product serial numbers have been removed from the Product. Rights with respect to software embedded in the Products are separately governed by the EULA included with your Product.


Universal Audio will repair or replace an eligible Product (or a non-expendable component thereof) that is returned to Universal Audio within the one-year warranty term as further described in section G (Warranty Procedures). If Universal Audio cannot repair or replace it, Universal Audio will refund the amount shown on your receipt for the Product. You must uninstall the Product and return any media and other associated materials to Universal Audio with proof of purchase by an authorized reseller to obtain a refund. If you purchased the Product as part of a system bundled with software and other hardware products, you must return the full system to obtain a full refund. These are your only remedies for breach of the Limited Warranty.


The Limited Warranty is your only hardware warranty from Universal Audio. To the extent permitted by law, Universal Audio and its suppliers give no other express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement or other guarantees. If your local law gives you any implied warranties, guarantees or conditions, despite this exclusion, your remedies are described in Section C (Remedy for Breach of Warranty) above, and, to the extent permitted by your local laws, are limited in duration to the one year Limited Warranty as described in this Agreement.


Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by law, Universal Audio is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use; loss of revenue; loss of actual or anticipated profits (including lost profits on contracts); loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of reputation; loss of, damage to or corruption of data; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage howsoever caused including the replacement of equipment and property, any costs of recovering, programming or reproducing any program or data stored or used with Universal Audio Products. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by country and state. Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Except for liability for death or personal injury caused by Universal Audio’s negligence or fraud, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, your sole remedies are limited to your rights specified in this Limited Warranty.


You may have additional consumer rights under your local laws, which this agreement cannot change. For example, consumers in the European Union may be entitled to a limited warranty term of two years. For more information about your rights, please contact your local authority, trading standards department, citizen’s advice bureau or local equivalent.


To process a warranty claim please visit www.uaudio.com/support. You may be required to provide proof-of-purchase to validate your claim.

This Limited Warranty is return-to-factory, and Customer is responsible for properly packing and labeling any warranty Product returns for shipment to Universal Audio. Customer is required to pay shipping/handling one way for warranty Product returns.

Product registration may be required in order to process a warranty claim or to activate the software or other complimentary support packages included with some Products. Pre-registering your Product will help expedite any warranty claims. Products can be registered at www.uaudio.com/support.
