UA Go Behind the Scenes with Saba and No ID in Apollo Artist Session XVII
Joined by Grammy-winning engineer Jimmy Douglass, the trio creates a brand new track from scratch, offering an inside look at their raw creative process

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA – March 11, 2026 – Universal Audio Inc. (UA), a leader in audio production tools, announces the return of its Apollo Artist Sessions series with Volume XVII. Filmed in September 2025 at North Hollywood’s Blakeslee Recording Studio, the latest episode unites artist Saba, legendary producer No ID, and Grammy Award–winning engineer Jimmy Douglass.
Following the 1-year anniversary release of "From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID," the trio enters the studio with no plan, transforming a single drum loop into a finished song — "Paygrade (Demo)" — by the end of the session.
With Apollo audio interfaces and UAD plug-ins at the center of the workflow, the episode offers an unfiltered look at their creative process, both as individuals and group collaborators working towards the singular goal of making something new.
“You gotta have love and trust for the people you work with. You gotta leave your ego at the door.” - No ID (Jay-Z, Common, J. Cole)
