PolyMAX Synth Reviews

I was looking for a one-screen synthesizer to streamline my production workflow, and the PolyMAX is the perfect tool for that. It's really intuitive and fast. CPU usage is very small. It has a great "analog" sound. The FX are nice, too. I love it. As for caveats, I miss the gliding sample-and-hold mode for the LFO, sync retrig, and a more robust MIDI configuration. Honestly, with those things, I wouldn't need any other synthesizer.

Excellent inspiration tool and I like the simplicity at first glance. The depth if you put in the time.
I would recommend this synth to anyone looking for a synth with a sound of its own even if you put in exactly the same values into another synth, Poly Max sound different. Good different. I got it for free during one of UAD campaigns.
So no value comparison can beat that. But I have a few other synths I did not get for free and I still come back to this one often. For inspiration and simplicity. UAD install and plugin management is simple as can be. Since I have a few other brands... I can tell you that UAD have put in the time for making the maintenance, updates , license management smooth as well. Not all companies do that.
Their technical support is good as well in my experience.
