Introduced in 1978, the AMS® DMX 15‑80 S was the world's first 15‑bit digital delay and pitch shifter. Used on hundreds of classic albums, the AMS DMX Digital Delay & Pitch Shifter is the only plug‑in that gives you the authentic soundscapes of this rare hardware.

What They Say

The AMS DMX plug‑in gives you such a vibey, unique sound. And having the ability to automate all the parameters takes it to a new level.

The Killers, Neon Trees, P!nk

I’m about to abuse the hell out of the AMS DMX Digital Delay & Pitch Shifter plug‑in on every mix.

Darrell Thorp

Beck, Radiohead, Foo Fighters

I've used the AMS DMX hardware on every record I've made since the early '80s, and now they've nailed the sound with this plug‑in. I am beyond ecstatic.

    Make it native)

I think I gotta say sorry about delay of saying thank you for making all the EMT stuff native, by the way, what a timing it is! I wrote the review down asking you guys for that and suddenly it appears! Real magic, because I'm living the period where I can't allow myself transferring all the UAD-2 stuff, because of different locations and small places, so nowadays my go-to is Apollo Solo (It's a lil old one and I've already have it, so that's the certain reason why I hadn't charged for Twin X). I really love this plugin, it gifts me the days I've been on my own with the analog one and represent it like I'm at the console board with those racks behind me, fantastic and amazing. For you to know, I'm not about how the plugin looks (btw, gorgeously), but how it sounds and I'm definitely saying that's one and the only I've been searching for. Don't tryna be ill-mannered, it's nothing, but simply to give my craving a try). Thank you for everything, appreciate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.
Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.
UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorization of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
