Developed by Brainworx, the Chandler Limited GAV19T Amplifier plug-in is an exacting emulation of this ultra-responsive, dual EL84-powered boutique guitar amplifier. Inspired by British classics such as Vox and Marshall — and lesser-known gems from Watkins and Selmer — the Chandler Limited GAV19T Amplifier goes beyond a simple “clone,” offering infinitely tweakable, three-dimensional tones that brim with character.

    Five stars anyway.

This is by far the best soft amp I have ever played. It’s very, very versatile and both the clean and overdriven sounds have a wonderful organic quality that I have never found in software amps before. It feels alive under the fingers. Yes, for some strange reason UA has not given it the Unison treatment, but it’s worth it anyway and there is a workaround: if you put the Tube Screamer plugin in the Unison slot and you bypass it using the “footswitch”, the pedal remains in circuit and you get that extra level of feel that Unison provides.

If I could only keep one software amp it would be this one, it doesn’t make me miss my studio when I’m travelling or working on location.

I would love to also own the “real” version but Chandler has discontinued it and they are very hard to find.

    My new fav

The GAV19T has a unique and specific sound. No wonder it's a studio staple. It sounds sweet straight out of the box and might just be my new go-to amp for everything.

    Just What I Needed. ( i can't believe i overlooked this before )

i finally found my Lead Amp,

if i would have known Chandler was right over by me in Iowa, back then, i would be even poorer than i am now.....the GAV19T has the EZ81 rectifier valve, which is stiffer than a 5U4GB, but not as stiff as a GZ-34.. i use the UAD Ampeg B15-N for my clean and crunch, ( 5U4GB ), so the EZ81 type sag is perfect for Leads, on that, by my supply response preferences.

    Loving this amp...

Guitar isnt my main instru. Piano is. But for this album I'm producing, I've been playing guitar here and there and some of the tones I've been able to nail are just incredible. Combine that with tape and the guitar just comes to life. i KNOW it wont sound like the real thing but the end listener will not be able to tell the difference. this is literally my first review after using UA plugins for the past 7 years. thats just how good it sounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.

This refers to the number of SHARC DSP processors in Apollo and UAD-2 hardware. A DUO core system has twice the amount of processing power compared to a SOLO core system. More SHARC DSP cores increases the number of UAD-2 plug-ins you can run on the hardware.

No, Satellites provide DSP to run UAD-2 plug-ins in your DAW.

Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.

UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorisation of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
