From Jimi Hendrix to Jimmy Page to Eric Clapton, the plexi’s raunch defined the sound of rock. Developed by Softube, the Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959 plug-in gives you the sound of this 100-watt British classic.

Voiced by a Legend

Producer/engineer Tony Platt has recorded some of the most quintessential Marshall tones ever committed to tape — most notably AC/DC’s landmark albums, Highway to Hell and Back in Black. Softube enlisted Platt to capture exquisite cabinet and microphone simulations using his Platinum-approved, tried-and-true mic recipes. You can choose from 50 Platt-designed presets, or craft your own tones.

Mix Between Seven Expertly Placed Microphones

Open up the plug-in’s Channel Strip section, and easily dial-in your sounds with Panning, global High/Low EQ, and Level control over each microphone, allowing precision fine-tuning — during tracking or mixdown.     Playing all old school.

    Usually, I am not a fan of amplifier plug in, but this one, it is very closed like original, of course, the settings is different than real, but you can get the sound like AC/DC, Joe Bonamassa, BB King, etc.

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.

UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to.
