    Beautiful break up crunch

Downloaded the trial on a whim and bought it waaay before the trial ended. Low volume is clean but just sounds great. Upping the volume a little brings the most beautiful break up tones I've come across in a amp sim. It's got a huge amount of character, life and responsiveness, and just feels good to play through.

Crank up the volume and it moves towards full overdrive, but never loses the responsiveness or character.

    New favourite.

    Uad Rudy

I've never been a fan of this amplifier, but that's in the past. I love the way this amplifier sounds in the hands of my idols, but I've never been able to achieve the desired sound in a digital environment. Rudy is a great solution because it saves me a lot of time adjusting the tone, and I get a result that I really like! The only downside is the lack of a tuner for instrument tuning on the entire uad amplifier line.

I use it mainly for a rhythm amp plug - in.

I like its rich clean tone especially when coupled with one of my UA EQs and top it off with one of my UA compressors.

    Not Unison?

One thing I loved about UA unison plugins is being able to play through them while recording... unless I am missing something these new amp plugin's aren't able to do that... they only work as an input insert in my DAW, which means some latency, which means not good for getting a good performance. Some of the older amp plugins work great with unison, but not this one. I also wish Universal Audio still had call up tech support where I could easily sort out issues like this.
