I couldn't put 4.9 stars out of 5, but you get the idea. I use this interface with my custom piezo sensors for Oud. In general, the input impedance is quite acceptable for piezos, but this comes at the cost of a permanent background hiss. I developed a 15 dB low noise JFET buffer to fix the problem, and it's gone without any side artifacts (DR, THD preserved). I also developed a noise reduction VST using some voodoo math from my work to get rid of all the residual noise entirely (ie. better -60 dB). The question here is WHY Universal Audio didn't take more time to tweak the noise floor of the instrument input? Maybe they overlooked that people who really need this input are not distortion guitarists?
Moving to USB 3.x in the next iterations is highly recommended for lower latency. C'mon. 2025. USB 2.0 ?
The other parameters are good, just as expected from an audio interface of this grade.
