1176LN Classic Limiting Amplifier Reviews

Serial number 2375. Found out the original T-pad found in the original reissue 1176 was replaced when UA couldn't find the 600 ohm T-pad. They continued to sell the 1176 as original to spec. How dissatisfied I was to find this out because I wanted original parts not a replacement that specs out the same on paper.
I emailed UA and was told it would cost me 500 dollars to bring my 1176 to original spec. So now I can't say I truly own a real 1176. Very disappointed in UA and their company's marketing strategy selling other than original parts to unsuspecting buyers.

The 1176 Is one of the best compressions I've ever used and stumbled upon. It's my go-to for mixing vocals and with this compressions aggressive nature in tone, pairing with with the LA-2A give it such a unique sound. This compression stands TALL on it's own and I highly recommend this Plug-In. BUY IT!
