Fantastic
It's actually amazing how much better they are than the (really very usable) legacy version. it really does stand up to direct comparison with the hardware. They are cloister to the hardware than any two hardware units are to each other.
A basic tool that no pro studio should be without.

Most versatile, best sounding EQ
This and the 1176 are the most used UA plugins I own. Use them way more often than the expensive ones like Massive Passive.

Probably one of the best offerings in the UAD plugin universe. Many users ask for "must have" plugins. This is one.

Every session I end up using a couple of Pultec's
The Pultec is my go to eq for guitars, bass and vintage keyboards.
I really like the simple lay out of the controls, and the magic that goes on, once you boost and attenuate the same frequency range at the same time
I already liked the original Pultec plug-ins, but the these new versions are just a little better.

upgrade worth it
I bought my Apollo twin 6 months ago and have never regretted the purchase. Fantastic! I had been using the Legacy 1176's that come with it but decided to look into upgrading. These versions just bring more life, are more open and aggressive than any other 1176 version including CLA with Waves, etc. You just can't beat them short of buying the rack mounted hardware. UA and their commitment to quality is as impressive as it is effective. My mixes are just more professional now and, while I have a decent budget for studio purchases, I could not have accomplished that I am able to do now without the Apollo and great plug ins like the 1176 Classic Limiter Collection.

Nailed it!
In comparing this to the original plugin set I wasn't noticing a huge difference on kick, bass, etc... When I put it across the 2bus though it was almost immediate satisfaction. Before adjusting anything I heard and felt that thing that pultec type eq's bring (sheen, weight). UA nailed that. It makes a difference just being in the signal path. Subtle adjustments are really effective and help finish a mix nicely. Great product.

The compressor of my life!!!
Ok I found the compressor of my life!!! This is staying on all my Drums, Base,Guitars, Virtual Instruments and specially Voice.
Now I only need a UAD with 16 sharks to use it in all those channels!

Finally the UA 610 sound!
Ive never been able to yet, at this point in my engineering career, justify the price of a 610 preamp. I did however, recently purchase an apollo quad. The first thing I did was hook up the 610 preamp to my input, and press record in Logic. Instant, beautiful tube saturation. Ive used many waves plugins before, and always found myself wanting more. Not this time...Instantly with the UAD plug in, I want more...UAD plugins. Amazing work. I am now a believer.

This plugin collection is just plain awesome.. Sounds just like the hardware to me. Plus there are 3 versions with different sonic flavor. = Dope.

I was a big fan of the legacy pultec. I upgraded the 1176 and LA2A collections a long time ago, but waited on the pultecs because the legacy was just so good. I finally updated the pultecs during UA's must excellent holiday sale and have been loving this version. It does everything the legacys did but smoother and quieter. I recommend upgrading the pultec, but get the 1176 and LA2A collections first (or get the bundle and save a few bucks)

Incredible set of compressors.
I love these on vocals, kick and overheads. I go between an 1176 and LA2A on bass though. These are the cream of the crop as far as 1176 emulations go. I love them and they work on every mix. The Legacy is nice but these really open things up.

I really liked the legacy LA2A plugin, and I wasnt sure how to improve on it. Well I was wrong, These three plugins are incredible on vocals, bass and SNARE. Seriously, I see lots of love for the 1176 on drums, but damn the LA2 is amazing on snare drum. buy these plugins and dont look back.

A Fantastic And Quick Alternative EQ
I was looking for the Eq that would pull out the Midrange in a bass track a place it in the forefront. This worked for what I needed it to do. It also works for giving a lift in the high end for vocals and overheads. I went to the presets and tweaked it to fit my mix. Nice.

Unbelieveable
This is coming from an old music guy. I grew up around hardware preamps, compressors etc. Firstly I hesitated to purchase this UA 610 Tube Unison preamp plugin doubting it's ability to emulate the hardware version. UAD gave away the 610B with the purchase of it's UAD apollos. I used it a few times an it sounded pretty good. However I purchased the 610 collection. I inserted it on the preamp insert and was quite surprised. I can now hear the difference on recorded tracks. Richer and fuller sounding vocals. Imagine I ordered a Shure SM7B just because of this. Getting it today. This thing is definitely a money saver. Believe me. Thanks UAD.
