Classic, Elegant and Fun
This plugin has already become indispensable. It has been a long time since I have had a Pultec style EQ in my arsenal. This one is amazing. By far the best plugin emulation I have heard.

Simple and efficient!
This plugin is great . It ads that tube warmth and brightness on vocals and other sound sources . The presets are pretty useful and some of them work just perfect without modifications . A must have tool for adding immediate presence and saturation on everything !

A piece of Musical Genius
From the first second i put the 1176 Blueface on a vocal track even at the default preset it blew me away, i only recently got my Apollo Twin duo and i have to say, i used to have my doubts about all the UA hype, but not anymore, every plugin i have bought since; is just fantastic, this collection is a must along with the LA2A Collection.

Can't go wrong with the LA-2A collection bottmline. They are sweet like sugar. Buy them! I love them on vocals.

My Review for LA-2A plugins
Got the collection and tried them out.
I found that although there's only two main dials to work with, you can find quite a large range of settings.
Smooth is a good description of when I was getting these plugins to hit there stride as far as dialing them in effectively.
Works well with 1176's when using them together.

1176 Limiters Reviewed
Ok so I finally got them and then did my own tests on the 1176 plugins.
My findings are - UA 1176 plugins work GREAT!
Each has there own settings so you have a nice variety to choose from to get your mix the way you want it.
There smooth and easy to dial in after you familiarize your self with them.
TIP: AN easy way to get going for the novice is go through the pre-sets to start educating yourself on where to dial in the sound you like.

I had to choose between this and the 1176, and I went with the LA-2A mainly because I like the way it sounds on vocals and acoustic guitar. I do plan to get the 1176 later, but for now the LA-2A is great.

The 1176 collection is incredible on anything you put it on. Really brings things out of the mix and adds character and glue. Great bundle, highly recommend.

These compressors are amazing and you can use it litterally on everything, just a perfect emulation of the great hardware. And so much better than the legacy-version of the plug-in.

A lot of warmth here
You do not even have to use it for what it is. Just turn it on and it will increase the warmth on your track or mix.

My 'go to' compressor for vocals!!
I already own a few compressor plugin emulations but had a try on this one and felt it was a real necessity - it has a richness and authenticity to it which contrasts it to the 1176 plugins - a real weapon to craft top class vocals - buy it!!!

UA 610 Tube Preamp & EQ Collection
What a fantastic sounding plugin. I especially love the saturation and character this adds to my vocals, electric and acoustic while tracking through my Apollo Twin Duo.
Along with the 610B and the stock Apollo pres, my tracking needs are covered (Until I get to demo the other Unison Pres...) Great Job UA!

Amazing and easy to use plugin! Perfect on Vocals!
I think this bundle of the LA-2A is just amazing. It works perfect, especially on vocals. I use it on every project! And it is a very simple plugin to use but it sounds great! It is one of the best plugins that i know. go try it out!

I still don't really understand what actually happens with the sound source when applying the Fairchild, but i sure do love it! As i am more of a listener than a technician it is a blast to tweak this limiter and be surprised what it does to whatever you run through it. The drums breathe, the bass chews, the guitars get etherical . . . and so on. I never had the pleasure of using a real Fairchild before. But now i know why it is so beloved. It inspires to do more than was thought possible. And most of all; it makes the music sound good and puts in its place by giving each sound source the main character on stage. As if you have a movie with only main character actors. And it all just blends.
