I’m happy with the plugin, sounds much more clear and controled at many levels

Pro-quality API sound at a fraction of the cost

I’m really impressed with how I can get the classic API channel strip sound for less than 1/10 the price of the hardware. It’s even better that I can use it alongside SSL channel strips for more flexible tone shaping. Great value and great sound – highly satisfied!

    Lousy UI

The API Vision plug-in is a good sounding channel strip, but the slavish clinging to the original Desk Strip format makes it practically unusable in a DAW environment. I will never know how good the EQ sounds or how well the dynamics processing works because the user interface is so uninformitive that I refuse to waste my time on it. I have a great set of tools that are effective & easy to use, why bother with yet another EQ. This plug-in subscribes to the 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag philosophy. I will only use it for its subtle improvement of the sound by the analog circuit modeling. UAD, get into the 90s & design a UI that is worthy of the sound.
