In a single device, I have good AD / DA converters, many great mic preamps and the best plugins in the world!

Big Change!!!
I replaced my Focusrite interface with the Apollo Quad, now this is what I call signficant audible improvement in my home studio. It solved my software monitoring latency problem which annoyed me very much, its pre-amps and A/D converters gives more feel and transparency to any of my recordings. It has incredibly flexible routability and I did not mentioned anything about UAD Plugins yet :). I would have never believed that a change of sound card can improve my recordings and home performance like Apollo did. Lastly it has a very useful operating manual which would help non-pro hobbyist sound-engineers and musicians to learn a lot about sound engineering and how to record professionally. This gadget fundamentally changed my producing qualit

Amazing Interface... Great Value
The interface sounds amazing. Very clean and transparent preamps and converters. I also got mine in time for the Studer, Lexicon 224 and Neve Channel deal. I couldn't ask for a better set of plugins. Especially the Lexicon 224!
I'm running mine on FW800 and have had absolutely zero issues with bandwidth, very happy about that. The Console is very easy to use, zero noticeable latency (even when stacking the max amount of plugins), and you can use plugins on every input and the aux sends as well.
I do wish that 1) Aux Sends could be Pre-Fader and that 2) plugins could be used on the headphone outputs. Sometimes drummers need an extra boost in volume before clipping.
Overall I'm extremely happy and impressed. Would recommend Apollo for all

Great Sounding gear, drivers to be improved
First of all, when i first plugged it in, i somehow had the feeling of a more detailed and pristine sound quality than i was accustomed to. Even though my old interface was a piece of real quality gear as well!
Everything worked really quick and i could immediately continue working.
What is to be improved?Well i think there are some situations where the driver could behave better. E.g. When i shut my macbook, and reopen it without powering off/on the apollo, i need to reload my project, or the plugins dont work. Thats rather annoying. Besides that, there were some flaky things going on with the connection state. I expect these to be known bugs, and I expect Universal audio to continually improve the drivers addressing these sort of things

Very COOL
Excellent clear sound! Beautiful preamps! Convenient control on the front panel. Plug-ins on board just fantastic. Mobility and convenience. I recommend it to everybody!!!

Apollo lives up to its god like name
I considered many interfaces before I jumped on buying this guy. In the end the UA quality standards and UAD hooked me. Can't wait to log some hours on this beast.

Great device
Great device. Glad I can use the UAD plugins. The small black mark on the headphone knob's has been erased after a few days... Strange, but obviously, the sound is not affected...

Apollo Quad-WOW
I've been using an Avid M-box pro for the past few years. I just upgraded to the Apollo Quad. AMAZING! Until now, I have been able to achieve a very good "DEMO" sounding recording in my home studio, but never quite studio quality. The first recording with my Apollo and WOW! Studio quality. I don't know if its the converters, or the pre's, or the Thurnderbolt interface, or the internal Clock. But whatever it is, it is absolutely, without a doubt, an entirely different level. VERY Happy! Thank you UA.

NIce Sounding .... broke quickly
Our Apollo installed very smoothly ... all the updates happened , the computer connected flawlessly
However by the end of the first big session all the front panel LED's had gone out and the first two PreAmps had failed.
Happily the 2 remaining inputs worked, and the box functioned fine through the Console interface... so no harm done.
I guess if electronics are going to die it happens right out of the gate!
UA Tech support wouldn't do a switch out for me ( admittedly I bought it a month before installing to take advantage of the plug in special ) .... a very poor decision on their part IMO. They only offered to repair it .... which would take an indeterminate period.
So I called our retailer, Sweetwater, new box next day. Shop there!

Impressed!
Started with Apollo Duo when Apollo was first launched - very quickly wanted more processing power when my plugin arsenal was growing.
Now on Apollo Quad with Thunderbolt which is connected to the same chain as my two Apple Thunderbolt monitors and Mac Book Pro 17 - works flawlessly!
Waiting for software upgrade announced at 2013 NAMM which will allow running two Apollo units simultaneously - then I will add one more Apollo Quad to my system.
Pres are so nice and transparent that I started selling my other pres as they started collecting dust - eventually will only have my Apollo Pres with 4-710 connected in via ADAT when I want to turn in some tube saturation.
When UA adds more flexible routing options - this cannot get better! LOVE IT!

Can't think of something better than this
I used to be an owner of other audio interfaces such as Tascam, Focusrite , Apogee and Metric Halo but the time came when I decided that I should try the UAD Apollo based on the very good reviews on the net. Well, I don't have many things to say besides that its the best audio interface , the construction, the sound, the plugins....I'm so impressed and in love with my UAD Apollo!! My recordings and mixes sound huge and fat like never before!! From day one , the installation was a piece of cake, I never had a crash on my system and everything work like a charm. Everything works like a charm!!! UAD rules!!!

Apollo & me
I was attracted by the Apollo in order to create a mobile recording system with a MacBook Pro. The concept of preamps-converters-DSPs all in a 1U rack is perfect. I appreciate the wide range connectivity and the ergonomic interface. Plug-ins integration in “Logic” works automatically and it’s really pleasant to own a “true” Lexicon 224, a Neve 88RS channel strip and a Studer A800.
For making easy multi-tracks recording, I bought the thunderbolt option from the start. The installation is very simple but the lack of cable (not provided) disappointed me (considering the price).
Today the whole device works perfectly and I appreciate the functionality as well as the quality of the preamps and converters. The plug-ins are really top quality!!

The Apollo interface
This is one of the most elite interfaces that I have ever worked with.
An arsenal of plugins for your creative needs and the system it self works really good with and Digital audio workstation your using (DAW)... Although it gets a seven out of ten in my book.. Simply because when I purchased this product you got three lower level plugins la-2a and protect eq and a simple reverb ... V.s now you get a very high end set of plugins ... Lexicon reverb.. Tape machine mix... And the Fairchild that's totally why their not a ten in my book .... Other than the bitterness I love my Apollo

Universal Audio does it again
I've been using UA software since the first UAD card. I can't imagine working without much of UA's software. So I had high expectations.
So far I haven't been disappointed. The console offers lots of flexibility. Guitarists will find apollo and the Softube Vintage Amp Room very attractive. Lo/no latency combined with the top notch amp sim plug make it a joy record guitars.
I've been running very memory heavy film-score sessions in Logic with the apollo and have had absolutely stable performance.
I recommend it highly.

Well thought out, sounds amazing
Very impressed with my Apollo Quad, this is my first experience with the UAD2 plugins, and I am very impressed with the richness and authentic variations of the sounds that emanate from them. Th Mic pre's are ultra clean, and the ability to track with plugins with no latency is the main reason I bought it......big thumbs up! Ca't wait to get the LA-2A bundle!!!
