Doesn't connect
Tried everything by the book. Apollo Twin thunderbolt does not connect to brand new Mac. Support is not forthcoming.

Doesn't connect.
Tried connecting Apollo twin Thunderbolt to Mac OS 12.4. Doesn't connect. Doesn't detect interface. Allowing privacy settings makes no difference. Waste of money so far. Helpline is swamped, so I must not be the only one having problems.

big background noise
I don't know if the first one I received was broken, I just tested the audio, and opening Cubase, my krk gave a big background noise, that didn't happen with my old sound card, lower level than the twin usb. Sent back to the seller, waiting for a new one

Great sound when it works
I received the Apollo Twin USB about 6 days ago. I have been saving up for it for quite a while and was really looking forward to it. The installation was ok, I was surprised how many extra posts I had to read and work through to get it to work with windows. In the end it worked and the sound was great. Short. If you listen closely you can hear small pop and glitch noises in the sound. After a long search I found the safe guard function, so it sounds a little better again.
But: I use it in abelton. As soon as I switch it to ASIO and listen to anything else in Windows, like the UAD Apollo setup tutorial, the sound distorts and gets noisy. Other users and UAD posts suggest that there is a problem between the UAD Asio driver and windows WDM. All last weekend I spent several hours each time searching the UAD forum and web for solutions and trying them out. Nothing has made it better.
So I was looking forward to Monday. There should be UAD phone support available. Unfortunately not. No one in all of Europe can be reached by phone from UAD. It took me half of Monday to find a solution and send a message to UAD support including my windows system log by email. Until today (Thursday afternoon) I waited for an answer and waited with the review. Unfortunately, still no one has contacted me. Therefore, I see the 1 star rating now as justified.
My old far cheaper scarlett interface worked straight, by the way, there were no problems with the drivers, no noise, no page-long instructions, what you have to do, that the interface works and the support was also available.
Very sad. Very sad. I hope that maybe through the rating someone can be found who can and will help me because I would still appreciate the sound and the plugins very much.

APOLLO-TWIN-DUO-USB 4 years of durability max
It may be a good sound card, but it only works for 4 years until it breaks after warranty. Contacting support about a fault will get you nowhere and solve nothing ... (they say their product is indestructible and durable) ... just a waste of time. Considering the times when there is almost no post-warranty service with such miniaturized electronics, for this price, the quality of electronic components in this device is a scandal. In addition, too expensive third-party plugs, such as Softube or Brainworx, which can be purchased cheaper from manufacturers. Complete disappointment. Believe me - 4 years and the equipment goes to the garbage.

So buggy that I was never able to install it.
Wtf is this product? Plugged it into my Windows 10 computer, followed the default install path and wouldn't you know it I ran into an immediate error that I still haven't been able to figure out. I don't have time to troubleshoot stupidly built products while I'm under the demand of my client schedule. I'm back to using my original cheap interface and this Apollo Twin piece of junk is going back in my closet until I have time to troubleshoot. Thanks UAD!

They say windows compatible but you ride Mac's D way harder
You try to make it compatible for windows and lost a lot of functionality. Ive had on both Mac and Windows and its clear you take care of those customers more than windows. Selling my product if anyone will buy this garbage.

Good product, poor driver.
I have it since a few years already, been delighted by the sound quality and the plug in but i would not rebuy it.
The drivers are so unstable on different machines, many blue screens, can't use the mic on windows app since couple updates. New bug is that i can't even open the control tool or the cards just keep trying to reset itself.
Last straw is that it feels like universal audio doesn't really care, doesn't offer much solutions. Even goes on to tell you that it is made only for professional use so if you have the audacity to do anything else with it it's normal it crashes your computer. Had motu, focusrite and Akai, none of those cheaper cards had any issue with windows apps.
Great products but those drivers really kill it. Rme next time.

Crashes all the time
Nice hardware. too bad it crashes regularly saying the device cannot be found or my USB port is not superspeed. Mind I've tried both the superspeed port integrated in the motherboard AND the pci usb superspeed card suggested by Uaudio itself.
Frankly for the price paid I would expect a device to just work. My old 80€ system would just record. This guy breaks randomly making it impossible to work. Whenever it crashes, I can only restart the PC, simply restarting the apollo doesn't work. bleah.

Yall should do better for your prices i expect better support but im not buying into mac just to get a decent version of your products returned quick

Unexpected problems
The unit itself started out excellent, but unfortunately I had to return it as static occurred in the headset and speakers with all three DAWs I have. Using my previous audio interface had none of these problems so I just went back to it. There is no question that the built in features of the Twin USB is great, just didn't work for me. Verified with multiple speakers, headsets, different cables and all three DAWs. Just didn't want to take a chance as I could eliminate the static in the Twin only by increasing the block size to the point of obvious latency issues. Excellent support from Sweetwater, but too much time invested in troubleshooting without fix caused me to return to old setup and get back into production. May have just been one of those unexplained compatibility things or a rare hardware defect.

Ich bin mega enttäuscht von Universal audio schon ein 2 mal defekt. ES piepst rauscht die console stürzt immer wieder ab.Dsp sofort überlastet bin unglücklich.Der Rechner ist es nicht , i9 intel mit 64 GB Arbeitsspeicher ssd festplatte habe, überall Energiesparmodus ausgeschaltet cpu Energiesparmodus auch damit nirgendwo Energie gespeichert wird.Habe den Rechner abchecken lassen usb Kabel erneuert symmetrische Kabel geholt und und ich bin es leid ich kann so keine musik machen einfach ärgerlich.Sobald ich das usb Kabel von dem Rechner trenne ist es weg sobald ich es anschließe ist es wieder da brummen rauschen Piepsen.ich gehe auf die console und prefader von gain auf 12.Mikrofon eingang auf 11 Uhr einstellen.Die kopfhörer auf volle pulle dann auf solo Button damit sich der sänger rapper hören kann aber , ohne die phantomspeisung anzumachen ist dieses Piepsen brummen rauschen da.Mache ich das phantomspeisung an ist es immer noch da ..... :(

What a silly product that does not work.
Could not get the line inputs to work outside of my DAW app. Got a RME Babyface Pro FS instead. World of difference works like a charm, and sounds better too!

Recommend not purchasing Apollo Twin USB
Read this review before purchasing Apollo Twin USB for WIndows. I strongly recommend not purchasing this interface.
There have been many praise reviews about this company and their audio interfaces. But I was disappointed with their products as much as possible. Finally, when I bought the Apollo Twin USB card that I had been dreaming about for so long, I got a crookedly working piece of iron. The sound is constantly disappearing, the console is crashing. Tried different USB inputs, reinstall the drivers and the card software. It's no use.
Communication with the support didn't work out. The first time I was answered simply by copying information from their website (from UAD nobody gives a sh*t about this information, they don't even think about expanding or updating it). The second time the support agent just disappeared and stopped responding. I wrote the third time, but I don't expect the situation with Apollo to change. In addition, the support service is very slow and of poor quality.
My guess is that I will have to change the whole system now, but I have no idea what to build. On the site you will see just a couple of lines about the requirements, just what is NOT RECOMMENDED, but when using their useless audio interface you will encounter a lot more pitfalls (because there is no information what is RECOMMENDED for stable operation). And only if you have universe luck - Apollo Twin USB will work fine.
In general, I am surprised how such praised engineers of the company were able to produce such a low quality product. Apollo Twin USB is worse than any budget interface. Even the interface for $100 at me worked stably throughout the year, and UAD did not start working immediately on the day of purchase. It feels like they tested this card for just a couple of days on one computer at home with one engineer and decided that it would be enough, put a price tag of $800 and released it on the market. Look at the number of topics on the forum and the official website for problem solving! Incredible number of people with problems with UAD audio interfaces.
It's a shameful product for the company. I'm sorry for the money, time and nerves spent.

Actually awesome when given the right info
Man. Bought it a year ago got sent the PC version instead of the thunderbolt. Still can,t use it ugh. Had to change whole platform to PC was never given registration plug in pack . Played ball on PC format .. Let me help Universal Audio out wither Mac or PC dont buy our product unless your running and I7 or I5 with 32 gb or up . Because it's a damn great product or other than doing so your gonna be on struggle bus island .Cause sales people at music stores dont really facilitate that 1% producers market. They just sell shhhh.

Very disappointed with customer service
Right out if the box my Apollo twin mk2 did not turn on when plugged into my computer. I've called customer service a number of times and just get a pre recorded message saying to try the online help and it hangs up. I've emailed them my issue and have been waiting for an email back for 4 days. Apparently my PC might not be compatible with the interface which confuses me but all I want is an explanation and a little effort put in to my issue but it seems I can't even get that. It pains me to write this because of all the great things I've heard about this company but I feel this it my last option to get some attention for my problem.
