    Classic Punch and Control

The UAD dbx 160 does exactly what you expect from a classic VCA compressor: fast, punchy, and musical. It’s excellent on drums, bass, and percussion, adding tight control while enhancing attack and presence. The interface is simple and intuitive, making it easy to dial in great results quickly without overthinking. Whether you need subtle dynamic control or aggressive punch, the UAD dbx 160 delivers that unmistakable dbx character and sits tracks in the mix with confidence.

Best dbx 160 emulation I have tried

Title says it all. Blows the waves emulation out of the water.

    Satisfying! 😀

I put it on the kick drum channel after the FET 1176, to accentuate the "pop" at the beginning.

    A Classic Compressor

I Don't know why I took so long to buy this compressor. I have so many but had to pull the trigger. This DBX160 gives Fatness, Grit, and thickness to guitar, bass and if your vocal is slacking body this is a great plugin to go to. I heard both Waves and UAD and a lot of people seem to think that the Waves is right on, but I have a friend that has the original and we compared the two and this is right on the money. Get it you won't be disappointed.
