Excellent results
Stunning! The best channel strip I have used sounds amazing! The only drawback is the DSP usage !

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a new go to plugin on EQ. I wasn't expecting a lot, I always keep my expectations low, but no matter what I get from UAD I am greatly surprised every time. This EQ is so sweet on everything, I just love it! The Harrison was my go to, but now it's got some serious competition from the Neve 31102/31102SE... the more I use it, the more I love it! Thanks UAD, for making products that blow the competition away... I never buy elsewhere because there is no point!

My favorite channel strip
What can I say? A great Pre, beautiful warm and flexible EQ, and world class dynamics. If this were the only channel strip I had for the rest of my days I wouldn't be sad in the least. Congratulations UA on another incredible product.

A man purchased a plugin...... What happened next will shock you.
The 88RS has everything you could need in one plugin. If you want character, you got it. Amazing eq? Done! An amazing preamp while recording with unison technology? Come on!!!!
All witty banter aside, the 88RS plugin has really helped me achieve the sound I want while recording and mixing. I wish I had more dsp bc I would use on every channel. Demo it and give it a go.

Great for 1073 owner
This thing is more flexible compare to 1073, easy to adjust high frequency and coloring sound.

Great for heavy guitars, damn near everything else
This is my absolute favorite high-gain guitar EQ; the frequency selections are perfect and it gets you where you need to go quickly. It has a pleasing overall tone and "vibe". It can be more surgical than many of the other UAD EQs, but still broad enough to remain a "character" eq. I'm a fan.

Neve1087 Preamp & Eq
First off I purchased this plugin for$199 and it was on sale for 129 I called sales and left a message of the mistake and no one got back to me I also contacted support and still no one got back to me so you really don't want my review you guys need to make this right now let's see what you do other than that I love it

Just like the 33609, this adds some serious cream to anything you put through it. If only I had enough DSP to use it on every channel...

As usual UAD delivers with this one again!
I only wish I had more DSP on my system (Apollo 8 quad) so I can put it on all the groups in the mix.
Haven't tried tracking with it yet so I cannot pronounce on the Unison Technology but I'm more than sure that it just does exactly what they say in the tutorial/promo video!
Bottom line, great sound, can use it on everything. Tried it on the Masterbus and it just makes it go WOW... :)

Utterly fantastic
I read that David Gilmour of Pink Floyd has one of these consoles on his houseboat, and being a fan of the Endless River album they released not too long ago, I decided to get in deep with this plugin. It is utterly fantastic. The sound is both pristine yet inviting. The compressor has this great way of bringing a track to the forefront in a very pleasing way. Really awesome on synthesizers (yes, outboard and soft synths both) and vocals for sure. The EQ does its own thing - it sounds distinctly different from, say, the 1073, yet provides some great sound sculpting tools. The overall sound: clear, open, present, beautiful - at least for my purposes. Combine with the UA compressors for color and you are rolling!

Uses too much DSP
i am a home studio mixer and own an apollo Twin. The big disappointment with this strip is that one instance of it uses about 21% of my total DSP resource !! So after using it on one mix I'm never going to use it again. It just sucks too much resource.
It was also listed at two prices - I bought it for $229 on sale then it was also listed for $129 i believe and I had already purchase the more expensive "version". This happened within about 5 minutes of completing my purchase.
Big disappointment this round of dealing with UA. I would not recommend this plug in unless you are a serious studio with a lot of outbound DSP capability.
I WISH US WOULD HAVE LISTED THIS IN THE DESCRIPTION - THEY NEED A COMPATIBILITY CHART

This plugin is very nice, It is a fast way to get that old school sound without having to use several distortions plugins and eqs. would be nice with some auto gain compensation because this plugin ads alot of db.

So that's How it's Done!!
I have never used the 1073 hardware or recorded vocals thru anything but an inexpensive interface. I have always tried to fix the mix with plugins. I recently purchased an Apollo USB and decided to give the 1073 unison preamp a go with a tube mic. I finally found out how the Big Boys get their sound. The preamp was stellar at bringing my vocals out and warming them up. I am just blown away with the quality of this rig. My struggles are over and its back to making more music and less fixing it. I'm sure I will be purchasing more unison technology and expanding my studio. Hooray for UAD. I did purchase for 149.00 with a discount and 2 coupons only to find it on sale the next month for 129.00. I'm not gonna complain got work to do.

AMAZING!!! A step beyond what I thought was possible!
The Neve 88RS Channel Strip has made things possible that I didn't even know existed! I'm using the Apollo Twin USB and this plugin loves it! So musical and with a little bit of a learning curve the expander/gate section is a Godsend! I love the EQ section probably the most and I'm using a Rode K2 tube condenser mic that has been made even more effective with this brilliant plugin!!
