Rich and Lush...

I don't have experience with the hardware version, so I can't compare. But, I do know this plugin sounds so rich, full and lush...it makes vocals sound huge if you need it to. Drums too! A resource hog, but worth it!

Another superb reverb by UA!!!

This emulation is beautiful!!!
I love the UA reverb....and I love the sound of the AMS RMX16, very well represented in this plugin.
-1 for the original guy, is not comfortable.

Meraviglioso

Suona come l'originale con i plus a cui UAD ci ha abituati. Meraviglioso

One of the best!

This is one of the best classic Digital Reverb emulation i have ever heard, like the 224. The reverb has a nice density, each Programm has something special that i like. This Plug In gives you the real 80th sound. My goto with the 224!

whats old is new

I'm a firm believer in that software breathes new life into hardware. I never used to the original unit but obviously I've heard it all over the place and I feel like for my style this and the 140 is the only reverbs needed to cover a wide variety of colors. Its nice to add saturation to the aux sends for darkening the tone since to my ears this thing is fairly bright. I don't mind the GUI it is fine by me staying true to the original. Like most uad stuff hit the demo with caution cuz this stuff ain't cheap.

my new favorite

I have all the excellent UAD reverbs: the EMT 140 and 250; the Lexicon 224; Ocean Way; and even the cool reverb in the Roland Space Echo plug-in. But this one has quickly become my favorite. If I had to choose two reverbs to work with in UAD format, I'd go with this first, and the EMT 140 second (for a more vintage 60's sound).

You can't really go wrong with UAD reverbs, but to me this is the one that seems to work the best with almost no fiddling around. It just sounds great in every application I throw at it.

The best!

I tried out every single of the UAD reverbs head-to-head on various material, end my pick ended up on the RMX16! The halls sound great on vocals, and the plates are awesome for drums. Also, the "nonlin" algorithm sounds great, if you want to add some 80s feel to your drum sounds!

Go for it !

This reverb sounds absolutely fantastic ! Although most people only ever swear by its "ambience" and "non-linear" modes, History of music provides us with multiples instances of how all of the other modes were put to a good use (and particularly with the new trends for 80's music revivalism - think Ariel Pink, John Maus & Washed-Out). One of my favorite mode : the Plate mode, which has a very distinct and colorful feeling, and a very musical ringing if you play around with the decay time. All in all : this reverb sounds so good you'll probably find yourself soaking most of your tracks with it ! Go for it !

Pleasant surprise

Having used the original way-back-when, I don't remember anything that stood out about the hardware unit. But after messing with the software version I think I've found my new favorite verb box. Though in reality most of my mixes are so dry you couldn't tell difference between an AMS and a Microverb. I still feel better about it......

A really fun effect

I've never used the original so I have nothing to compare the emulation to, but this is a terrific sounding effect. I've been having great fun playing with it and the range is really deep. Presets are nice as well. The interface is a bit strange and clunky, but it's kind of charming and I get that it's supposed to emulate a rack module so I can vibe on the 80's mystique. In the end, this thing sounds cool so thumbs up from me.

I've been waiting for this one and I'm not disappointed! Perfect for drums and vocals so - I'm happy!

One of a kind

Different from any other reverb I've heard. Lush, dreamy, deep yet present, full of character.
Unusually dimensional, unlike many other plugins.
There is a sense of modulation and an almost 'spring-like' character to the tails that, instead of giving a lo-fi impression, creates a sense of depth, making the RMX a versatile unit. Fairy dust indeed. And the chorus is stunning.

Superb!! & Well done UA team!!

This is the main reason i am stuck with UAD plugin even though the plugins is getting heavier on the DSP. Great vintage hardware emulation. I owned the original hardware & been using it for drums for almost all my drum tracks. The plugins just made it handy to take the reverb unit where ever I go & when ever I need it in the studio without needing to do a lot of cable patching. Keep it up UA & thanks!!

Very impressed

Haven't come across another reverb that does what this guy does so calmly. I mean, it doesn't jump out and yell "I'M REVERB" like so many others, even when kept bright. It's a breath of fresh air, and adds a great professional polish to the mix. Also great on non-80s music IMHO.

Sounds like I remember

I liked this unit back in the day, but I wasn't engineering back then (mostly just playing on sessions). It definitely has a different flavor than the Lexicon emulation which I also love! My main issue with this is since I like the sound of it, it's really easy to over use it!
