Love It
Using this as suggested by other users for subtle 1-2 db reduction. Great subtle "glue" as mentioned by other reviewers. 5 stars.

My most musical dynamics tool
With it´s special compression caracteristics and extraordinary musical behavior the Shadow Hills Compressor is just a gorgeous dynamics tool. Simply perfect wether subtle comp or really musical pumping is required on single, prominent instruments and specially for beefing up whole master mixes (e.g. dance music).

Worth every cent...
What can I say.. This thing makes me have the "expensive" mix bus compression sound right at my fingertips. I just love it at slight 1-2dB touch... I'd describe it's sound as "cleaner" than SSL and much more versatile than LA2's. Great control of stereo image, makes everything "sit" right at no effort. Definitely a must-have

WOW - does great work
this is a must-have for me. i love this purchase. was using the Precision Lin MB & Limiter, but am favoring this SH MC more, just using the Precission multi band compressor for small adjustment.
Shadow Hills can be very subtle or in your face. make the mix really pop - Excellent plugin!

UAD plug ins are the best demoed the shadow hills along with others and my buddies keep asking me is this stuff mastered already or do i have to send it in --keep up the good work had family and friends are in the guessing game

Just get it!
This plugin is amazing! Half of the time, I don't even use it for compression at all. Just putting it on your master bus and running it through the transformer settings will add so much character to your mixes. It really adds a lot of clarity and tightness to your bottom end. Get it.

Demoed this for black Friday Talk about the glue I need for our mixes this thing is a beast for those that are complaining just go to groove three which is my best friend the 7min tutorial explained all the knobs this thing is awesome thanks UAD again

Very Nice Compressor on the Master Bus
Got some stellar bumps out of this plugin! Nice warmth, not to much color... it helped bring the glue nd perfection to the mix.

Has been just the ticket...
I'm late to the party with this one, but I'm in agreement with C. Allrich --- a light touch will get one far when employing the plug appropriately. It's been one of the secret weapons I'm using to master an ECM-ish guitar trio album. The clients are very happy and so am I. I can't help but thinking that those that are "confused" by the controls haven't taken five minutes to RTFM and understand the signal flow, etc. Agreed it doesn't completely nail the hardware, but it can still work wonders and provide the right sense of depth and dimensionality and glue that will sweeten many a mix or master.

Absolute Special!
excellent machine but is set well, once you find the right balance between opto and vca have the sound you are looking for. I do not exaggerate with the compression try the "glue" of the sound, and trying find it!It has its own sound to me or you love him or hate him. I personally love it !!!
