SSL 4000G Bus Compressor another good one!
Yes another brilliant one from SSL 4000G been using SSL Bus Compressor a lot recently in mixes so this was another one for the group! Does what it says on the packet. Easy to use presets and quick dial in. Worth getting. So easy to use even used it on the master. Well glued!

I HAVE SOOOO MANY BUS COMPRESSORS BUT UA (AS PER USUAL) CAPTURED THE TRUE SOUND OF THE SSL CONSOLE COMPRESSOR. IT LIVES ON MY 2 BUS!

Great Bus Comresor
Untill now used SSL G Bus Comressor of Wavs plugins.Here we have much more clear sound.... UAD team, this might be the best emulation of the G Bus hardware!

It does the thing.
I was using a competitor's G Bus compressor but became discusted with that company and stopped using their software. This compressor is a suitable upgrade. If you have experience with the SSL Bus compressor sound, you'll recognize it immediately with this. It's instant. Great work! So glad to have this sound again.

When I want to compress with the 'SSL' style, it's my go-to! I really like the sound of this plugin and the punch it brings to the mix. The 'sidechain' function is also essential! By adjusting this setting, you can really achieve compression that's even more precise and better suited for each mixes. I highly recommend this plugin!

From a transient point of view ;-) - the best in my opinion
I have many softw. emulations of G BUS Comp including SSL's one, so I was very eager to check out the native demo from UAD and I am delighted.
I played with the original HW on a large console, but I don't have it. I have one from another company, with digital recall.
I always test compressor plugins on raw acoustic drums recordings, because then you can hear whether the compressor really destroys transients or not.
This one is supposedly quite an old plug-in, but it is gluey and punchy as hell on Mix-Bus and I consider it the best in this (SSL Bus-comp) role at the moment ITB, definitely.
Additionally - it barely touches the CPU.

This is a superb compressor. Very clean non-coloured sound that works excellently with drum material and many other things I've tried. Try a 10ms attack and a very quick release on a 10 ratio - dial it in using threshold and mix control, and adjusting the SC listen frequency. Don't get it to do too much work and it's brilliant on stereo or other busses.

Great price and quality
I cannot believe I managed to buy this for so cheap. It has such a great sound. Over the years I've always wanted to try UAD and now they're native, I can. Thanks UAD for bringing your stuff to us native users, I have a lot of your stuff now and I'm really impressed.

finally in the native version, although I have a UAD card, but in native mode it's super, less load on the card. 10 dollars is not a pity
