best amp simulation i've ever heard
Works very nice in combination with my Volt 476 and Luna. Can't hear any lag or delay with my signal chain, very natural sounding.

Question of taste
I cannot compare with the original Fender, however, the sound is not my taste. One star minus because all these plugins dont have noise gate.

UAD Dream '65 Reverb Amp

Native only for a plugin you're supposed to record with is beyond stupidity
What the title said.

Not the best
I am a customer and fan of UAD, but this time I am disappointed. It is a toy sound, thin and digital, some competitors with the "tube" have much better and realistic Fender simulations. I hope you will take the Amp simulations to another level, like that of mixing plugins.

Clearly for players , not producers
Sounds great but the cpu hit is ridiculous (like a lot of last releases) , for comparison in my system Neural stuff avregae around 20 % ,this one can reach 50 % (in studio one )
7 Treads at 3.6 ghz
So if ya a guitar player that want to jam , cool , if you're a prodcuer that wanna re amp or mix several tracks , be sure to test before on your system .C. Nedohin
AMAZING SOUND! BUT needs a phase switch BADLY!
I’ve never enjoyed Deluxe Reverbs. I’ve always been a Bassman/Vibrolux guy, but this plugin changed my mind. The sound is amazing!
It feels like a real amp. I REALLY want to switch away from Line 6 for my amp sims… BUT!
This plugin (and the pedal) BADLY need a phase switch. Most players I know play a Fender/Vox Stereo combo and these two are out of phase. Very disappointing that UA won’t add basic usability features. I have to run a separate plugin just to flip phase.
On that end: why not just give us some basic features UA? Phase, post EQ, maybe even a delay (up to 15 ms for stereo set ups).
And PLEASE! Put midi on all your pedals, or some universal control app that can be accessed by a wireless Bluetooth or something.
A person could make a REALLY awesome rig out of just the UA stuff, IF we had basic features and midi.P. Mata

Congratulations. Best Deluxe Reverb emulation in the market.

Almost
Beautiful interface. But the gain staging is a mess. No dB value indicator on the in/out faders. The amp itself goes straight from thin (1-3 on the volume knob) to dirty on anything above that. You can get it cleaner by turning down the input volume but then the Out volume at max is still too low (this is all following the UAD recommended settings of no gain on the Apollo input channel, and plugin Input set to Hi-Z). Overall the sound is good but thin and brittle if you're using single coil (audible in the demo video). Does not have the warmth and bass definition of the real thing. Hopefully updates will address some of this.

plays and sounds fantastic, but
it really plays and sounds fantastic, well done UA, however, only released as native UADx and not on UAD-2 is such a huge missed opportunity for UA to have the best modelling amp sims available at zero latency on our appollos. i dont get it why UA didnt take this chance and strengthen and underlining the importance and power of dsp interfaces in 2024!
Also its missing some basics like a tuner and a noise gate which should be included in any amp sim product nowadays.
I´m also missing a loyality price offering for users who own the hardware UAFX pedal and registered to the account.D. North
Not as good as the pedal
I was really excited when this was announced, but it was an immediate let down in-use. I have the Dream pedal, and I really like it. Side-by-side with my Twin/Pro Reverb/Deluxe, the Dream pedal holds its own, I'd say it gets me 85-90% to my fender amp + OX sound. The plugin, however, gets maybe 50% there. The dynamics are bad, the way the volume and tone knobs work doesn't mimic reality (to get a clean sound the volume has to be at 1, that's super weird). There is no stereo room sound available, which is a huge bummer. No DSP is a bummer. I can find use cases for my UA amp pedals, but I don't think I will find any use case for this plugin. I so wanted to use it in UAD Console too; I guess it doesn't matter though, I will probably never use the plugin again.
Overall, the sound is dull, very narrow, fizzy, and has a bad digital character. Why doesn't it sound or behave like the pedal? I wish i knew.D. Montoya

It's ok but could be better.
I really wanted to love this plug in. While some of the presets are really good, the plug in is very basic . It's also missing things like a noise gate, mic blending , mic placement and being able to switch mics on different cabinets. Also, switching between mono and stereo. Is it usable ? YES. Can you get good tones from it ? YES . Are there other plugin versions of this amp with great tones and all the other things mention above already in the plugin that are more budget friendly ? YES. Hopefully, UAD will update the dream 65 with more features.

Needs to run on an Apollo with Unison capability
As a native-only plugin, I did the free trial and am glad I did. I am used to using amp models in the Unison tab. I am using the native plugin on a Mac Studio M2 Ultra with ARM disabled. This just doesn't fit my workflow. Hopefully, the software will be modified to host on an Apollo.
