Teletronix LA-2A Classic Leveler Collection
Quite simply, the ultimate collection of the most revered optical compressor ever. With its gentle, program dependent optical compression, and meticulously designed tube amplifier, the LA-2A is the go-to compressor for professional mixers around the world. In 2001, Universal Audio set the standard in analog emulation with the original UAD LA-2A plug-in. Today, UA’s engineers have redesigned the LA-2A plug-in with even more obsessive detail, giving you immaculate, component-by-component models of three highly sought-after LA-2A units.
Pultec Passive EQ Collection
Building on a decade of the world’s most intensive modeling research, UA recreated the famed Pultec EQ experience as a plug-in — one that’s nearly indistinguishable from the original analog hardware. Going far beyond UA’s original standard-setting Pultec plug-ins, the Pultec Passive EQ Collection faithfully models the overbuilt transformers and complex tube amplifiers of three legendary Pultec EQs, the EQP-1A, MEQ-5, and HLF-3C. The Pultec Passive EQ Collection is an astonishingly accurate recreation of these “must-have” EQs.
1176 Classic Limiter Collection
The first true peak limiter to feature all-transistor circuitry and ultra-fast FET gain reduction, the 1176 has lent its character and punch to some of the greatest recordings in history. Universal Audio released its first 1176 plug-in emulation in 2001, single-handedly launching the UAD platform. Today, we’ve circled back to the 1176, and modeled its entire electronic path from stem to stern — including its transformers and FET and transistor amplifiers, resulting in unrivaled emulations of three distinct 1176 units: Rev A, Rev E, and AE.

The sound quality is good, but the UAD support service experience is terrible!
The Input Gain on the Fairchild 670 causes all MIDI Learn functions to fail when using MIDI Learn, which has never happened with the hundreds of other plugins I've used. I've recorded video and provided system information to the customer service team, but they said they couldn't reproduce the problem and froze my ticket.
I'm giving 2 stars for the complete 660 and the sound performance of the 660/670. Remember to use the Trial version of UADx to make sure everything works before buying!F. Nguyen

Great assortment of must-haves. You've got your LA's, your 76's, Pultecs, Fairchild, 3A, 610 preamp... you can make a record with these no problem. I've tried every emulation of these hardware units out there, and the UAD versions are the best. Don't fool around chasing your own tail, get the best and get to work!
Plugins to acquire and use with this collection to complete your virtual studio would be: an SSL style bus comp, a surgical EQ, a de-esser, a hard digital-style limiter, a reverb, and maybe a dynamic EQ and a multiband compressor for tricky situations.

UAD > competition
There are a million competing Pultec emulations out there. Most of them will get the job done as far as EQing things goes. But as far as using them like one uses the hardware, for their extra special sauce and gentle shaping, the UAD's are leader of the pack. You'll notice it within seconds of playing with it. They are also a pleasure to use, don't wreck the integrity of my signal, and the GUI is the best Pultec GUI out there. I use these all the time, for every mix.

If you find yourself asking, "where's the beef?"
Then this will do you nicely. This thing is phat in tone, with a lot of vibe. Aside from the tone, it has very interesting compression characteristics that are hard to describe. Some sources sort of "bloom" out when you strap this thing on, it's nifty.

A great collection for adding analog warmth. As with all UAD plugins, they are easy to operate with excellent preset starting points. And if you need help dialling in the sound you want, the manual is comprehensive and clear.

These are almost as good as the hardware, and more authentic in the short attack time behavior than competing emulations. Great stuff!

Best ITB LA-2A
Unlike other plugins trying to emulate this hardware, the UAD version is very close. Very smooth. The 3 different revisions all have quite different attack times, meaning this collection is a lot more flexible than it seems with just the two knobs.

What a beautiful product to Add to your sonic arsenal for a tiny bit of warmth on a bus or a blast of Bass and Air that will make you smile.
The presets are a great start but these are very easy to dial in plugins the.
I really like the Meq-5 on guitars and use both to give a final touch on my master channel.
Just a bit of boost and cut can go can make a big difference and even with our any boost or cut it’ll add that bit of analog sound inside your digital workspace! At first I was like cool a new plug-in but it just delivered with a few clicks I was amazed at how this made me smile!G. Smith
