TS Overdrive

Released in late 1979, the Ibanez Tube Screamer TS808** overdrive pedal quickly became legendary for its dynamic, touch-sensitive distortion, and throaty midrange. A mainstay on the pedalboards of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson, Brad Paisley, and more, the TS808 holds a hallowed place in guitar lore. The TS Overdrive for UAD-2 and Apollo nails every detail of this vintage grind machine, allowing guitarists of all styles a vast array of sounds at tracking or mixdown.

Bermuda Triangle

When it comes to unmistakable, classic fuzz/distortion, the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff reins supreme. Vintage Big Muffs are prized for powerfully fat sustain, aggressive attack, and an over-the-top sonic personality. Inspired by the hallowed early-’70’s “triangle” version of the Big Muff, the Bermuda Triangle plug-in for UAD-2 and Apollo interfaces delivers the same bad-ass attitude and fiendish fuzz that has graced classic records from Pink Floyd to the White Stripes.

Raw Distortion

Equal parts warm overdrive and raunchy grind, the Pro Co Rat distortion pedal has been a vital cog in countless guitar rigs since the late ’70s. From Jeff Beck to John Scofield, players of all stripes revere the Rat’s tonal range, smoothness, and heaping amounts of gain. The Raw Distortion for UAD-2 and Apollo is a faithful emulation of this legendary distortion box, delivering all of the grit, dynamics, and raunch of the classic hardware.

    Distortion essentials bundle

TS sounds fantastic, I already had the Ratt for some reason and never use it, and the Bermuda Triangle presents no desirable sounds for me, so far, you never know..... Wish I didn't pay full price when I already had 1 of the plugs.

    Perfect recreations of perfect pedals

Only loses one star because if you own one of them you don't get any discount on the other two, feels a bit mean

    Depth

These sound the most realistic guitar pedal plugins. I tried them against quite a few alternatives, but all the others sounded flat in comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.
Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.
UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorization of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
