Developed by the highly regarded modeling engineers at Softube, the Amp Room Bundle brings an unrivaled collection of modern and vintage guitar amplifier models to your studio for tracking guitar and bass in real time with the Apollo audio interface,  or mixing / re-amping your tracks with UAD-2 DSP Accelerator hardware.

Track your guitar and bass parts with jaw-dropping amp tones and near-instant sub-2ms latency with the award-winning Apollo audio interface. Or re-amplify your recorded guitar and bass tracks with any UAD-2 DSP Accelerator to give them a completely different character by altering mic placement, modifying amp settings, and changing or bypassing cabinets. Create new and unusual sonic soundscapes by stacking multiple instances of one or several different amps.

Vintage Amp Room
Vintage Amp Room’s three guitar amps — “White,” “Brown,” and “Green” — are meticulously modeled on three iconic 1960’s amps that have earned their place in music history. Better still, Amp Room lets you simply “click-and-drag” to audition amps and change the mic position via its 3D interface – moving the mic closer, changing the angle, etc. –  all of which can have a dramatic effect on your final sound.

Metal Amp Room
Metal Amp Room features a meticulously modeled execution of one of the most punchy, aggressive amps available — with a smooth, articulate high end, near-infinite sustain, and a super fast, super tight gate for palm muting. It includes two distinct 4 x 12” cabinet models and adjustable “click-and-drag” stereo mic setup.

Bass Amp Room
Clean and fat, distorted and aggressive, or anything in between, Bass Amp Room gives you a stunning 1970s bass amp model, and three different cabinets to choose from. It also serves up a DI section which can be EQ’ed, compressed, and shaped separately, and mixed in with the mic’d cabinet sound for maximum versatility.

“Go for something that's unexpected. There's nothing wrong with running a vocal through a [Softube] guitar amp, for example, if it works and gives you something cool!”

    Bill Reynolds

    (Band of Horses)

“I often use [Softube] amp sims when I mix live recorded material. I'll take the DI from the live console and use an amp sim to cut down on the bleed from the mic in front of the amp on the stage.”

    Gareth Jones

    (Depeche Mode, Erasure, Grizzly Bear)

“It's a miracle that we can have these [Softube plug-in] amplifiers in our laptops. It's a huge truck full of wonderful gear for me to use at the click of a mouse button.”

    Paul Hagar

    (Goo Goo Dolls, Jonas Brothers)

“This [Softube Amp Room plug-in] really comes alive when you multiply a DI sound to make combinations of amps the mix together. Try taking a DI and send to the Marshall and the Vox at the same time. You will be happy you did.”

    Jeff Balding

    (LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill)

“All the other bass amp plug-ins I've heard sound decent when soloed, but when you put them in a track they loose presence and definition in the mix. The [Softube Bass Amp Room] plug-in doesn't loose presence when you put it in the mix."

  • Brett Chassen

    (Motorhead, Anthrax, Marilyn Manson)

"Whether or not you have a really good physical bass amp at your disposal, the [Softube] Bass Amp Room is an amazing tool to have.“

    Highly recomended
    by N. Stevens (Saturday 2 March, 2013)

I have a $1600 Vetta II head that sounds great live, but I have a hard time getting "The Sound" when trying to go direct. I spent almost 2 hours 1 day trying to get it even in the ball park with no luck when I remembered the last UAD software included a metal amp sim. I plugged directly into a Eurek … Read More

    Overcoming Those Tricky Bass Frequencies
    by S. Hurtow (Tuesday 26 February, 2013)

Bass is always tough to mix. Put too much, you get mud. Take it away, the bottom-end falls out. Add more treble, you get unwanted clicking sounds. Reduce the treble and there's no definition. I ended up getting the Softube Bass Amp Room because I was mixing a bass track in a busy song where the inst … Read More

    Softube Amp Sim
    by B. Hoener (Monday 18 February, 2013)

Well, Its Finally nice to see other People that don't appreciate these plugs. I demoed them Before from Softube. I can say the UA Versions sound exactly like the others. But to me that sounds bad. I really wanted Bass amp room to be awesome, but the only way to get a clean tone is to use the DI? I … Read More

Nice to finally have UA Amp Modeling
    by M. Gervasi (Saturday 16 February, 2013)

I've been a long time user of amp and effect modeling from the long time makers of that line of products (Line 6, Amplitube) and this is a very good sounding set. I like that you can bypass the amp or the cab model. I had a 24 track mix using other modeling and did a test switching over to these and … Read More
