The SSL E Series Channel Strip plug-in gives you everything you need to dial in professional, polished tracks with classic SSL sonics. With the inclusion of both the Type E “black knob” and “brown knob” four-band EQ and filters — hallowed in SSL lineage — you can apply refined punch to drums, presence to vocals, and heft to bass. Other features include high and low cut filters, an expander/gate, and compression.

I've A/B'd probably 6 different versions of this plug-in and the UA responds the way you'd expect the actual console to respond. Too many companies make this plug-in with programmatic fluff that sounds immediately pleasing to the ears on a solo'd track, but UA got it right for what recording/mixing would feel like in the real world. The fact that there's now a legacy version for running native in my DAW plus one that utilizes the hardware DSP just makes it that much better.
My only wish at this point is that I had an interface with the unity preamps to work in conjunction with their plug-ins. I guess I'll have to just get on that...

I'm a fan
Never used the original, but these emulations sound better than any live mixing digital board lol. This collection, coupled with Luna pro and Apollo, took my work up about 10 notches. Cheers! Looking forward to trying the Neve collection 🤘✊😎

Great plugins , great service
This is my new favorite plugin, the presets are great as I’m new at this home recording thing so they also help me learn what stuff does, but even better was the ease of the download process, this was by far the easiest , stress free plugin download I’ve done , great job UA, I’ll be recommending UA, as well as getting more plugins .

We provide three activations per license. We support activation on your computer or on an iLok USB key.

For every UAD plug-in that supports native and Apollo/UAD-2 versions, you get a license for both upon purchase, or the option to get it through an upgrade.

Native plug-ins are supported on macOS and Windows systems. See our Native UAD System Requirements article for full system requirements. An iLok account is required for managing your native plug-in licenses. We support iLok USB keys for portability, but one is not required.
