EMT 140 Classic Plate Reverberator plug-in
Three Expertly Emulated Plates
The EMT 140 plug-in offers three distinct flavors of the classic EMT hardware. Plates A and B model the original EMT electronics system, for which the plates themselves had intentionally not been tuned in some time. Conversely, Plate C — the most full-frequency plate — uses the more modern Martech electronics which had just been fully serviced.
New Controls, More Flexibility
WIth “plug-in only” features such as Balance, Width, and Modulation, you’re able to harness the EMT 140 in ways previously unavailable with the hardware. Pinpoint a mono snare reverb with the Balance control, spread out strings with the Width function, or use the Modulation feature to add subtle shimmer, or an intense reverb trail, to a lead vocal. By adding these controls to the original EMT circuit, you’re afforded tons of plate reverb textures for all of your sources.
“The EMT 140 plug-in is Unbelievable. Love it. Use it all the time.”
– Vance Powell (Jack White, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs)“Having the EMT 140 plug-in, it’s beautiful, I don’t have to commit to printing the plate.”
– Darrell Thorp (Beck, Radiohead, Charlotte Gainsbourg)“The EMT 140 plug-in is perfect to add some warmth and size to a lead vocal. ”
– Joe Chiccarelli (Jason Mraz, Beck, The Strokes, Morrissey)“The UAD Pultec Pro, along with the EMT 140, are the two main reasons why I can't work without a UAD card in my system.”
– Fab Dupont (Shakira, Santigold)“I use the UAD EMT 140 Plate Reverb on everything.”
– Hans Zimmer (Dark Knight, Gladiator)Customer Reviews

Dreamy 70's reverb Goodness
One of the best Plate reverb plugin, sounds really close to a original EMT, really efficient to give some room and space like a good analog reverb, all the way through really lush 70s...

Love it
It's lush and great with a variety of sources that call for the sounds of yesteryear. Vocals, drums & guitars, this plugin just delivers. There's plenty of room to play around with the different plates and eq to really dial the sound to your liking.

EMT 140 Plate Delivers!
Wow!! What an amazingly musical plate. Sounds incredible on snare, vocals, guitar, and anything else. All three plates have a unique, musical quality.

This or Pure plate
I was using pure plate in the demo, found it really convenient to throw in on for tracking. But, in a mix I preferred the EMT140, with it's three plate types, and more defining EQ. After trying both for 14 days I went with the EMT140. I recommend trying both to make up your mind.
