Tracking a Band From Start To Finish with Fab Dupont
At the latest Sweetwater Gearfest, producer Fab Dupont and first engineer Meredith McCandless of FLUX Studios took an auditorium packed with 300 engineers through a complete tracking session from start to finish. The live seminar covered mic and preamp choices (including Universal Audio’s 4-710 Tone-Blending and 2-610 Dual Channel preamps, and LA-610 MKII Recording Channel), placement and recording techniques, and showed them how to combine it all into a rough mix.
