Beautiful sounding compression
So easy to get a good sound from this. Pushing the input a bit gives a beautiful saturation and smooth compression.

Smooth Compression for Bass
I've been using this for my Bass ever since I Demo'd it. Works beautifully, I've tried other plugins but this one has something else going on.

Now here's one that I know well!
This limiter, in its various hardware incarnations, is one that I've encountered hundreds of times at studios over the years. I had come to rely on its availability for my vocal chain as well as other things. In fact I still prefer to track at studios that have at least one good one.
Now, obviously UAD better damn well nail this thing, right? They did. I still feel that it's better to track with it (haven't used the live feature) but in cases where I wasn't able to I will feel secure knowing that the same sound will be available to me later.
Me happy.

Access to that sound!
In my career I've worked at very few studios with actual 660's or 670's. Enough to know what they sound like though. And that experience has given me literacy enough to know it when I hear it. I was never going to be able to buy the thing myself. But this plug in has given me membership to that sonic club. Much closer than any other I've used and that includes pretty much all of them. The ballistics are on and the sonic signature is on.

Having the Fairchild Collection is a must especially for new UAD users, sounds great on anything you put it on.
Since working with the real thing, I can say the plug-in captures every nuance that the actual Analog has. Amazing.

Sounds great!!!
I have no clue of this sounds like the hardware. I'm just a poor boy. But these sounds fantastic. Adds a bit of edge and aggression, depth and weight. I really loved the original, and this is as good and much better. Great on vocals and guitars, drums, everything that needs some extra mojo.

I was using the cla2a and IK white but these UAD la2a is on another solar system. They sound BEAUTIFUL and worth the price.

1176 Classic Limiter Collection a Superb Plug in from Universal Audio
This Collection is a very good product from UA just like many others of theirs.
Think it ll be very difficult to find a better superior classic 1176 plugin from anywhere else.
Very Good on UA and keep up the great work with the Plug-ins and every audio product that you put out there.

Fairchild Tube Limiter collection
Great set off compressor options for a mix engineer. Great for drums, bass, and vocal compression. I love the easy access control for the attack (DC threshold) and the option to blend the compressed and uncompressed signals.
