1176 collection
I had a UA 6176, which I loved but sold after deciding to go "all plugin". I miss the 6176, but not so much now that I have the 1176 Collection.

Musical and smooth.
Many of the UA emulations I can test against the real deal. But when it comes to Pultec and Fairchild gear I can't say the same thing. Having said that I love the combination of either of the Fairchild compressors followed by Pultec EQ. I use an Apollo quad and recently my go to single chain is the UA 610 Pre, Fairchild 670 Comp then into a Pultec EQ. So Musical and smooth.

Sounds Great!
I have a UA 1176LN and Hairball Audio Rev A. The plugin sounds 99% there compared to the hardware. Awesome job UA! Now I have as many 1176's as I need on a mix. Two Thumbs up!

These compressors do amaze me, despite being aggressive if I want them too, they can also be subtle and real warm.,.. it´s night and day difference for the Legacy 1176!

The really real limiters plugins ! They sound absolute amazing on everything ! The preset ''for everything'' is really for everything! :)

Functional Heft and Easy parallel compression
While I have not been able to work with a real Fairchild to compare, I recognize the sonic character these units contribute to many classic rock recordings. Having multiple virtual units to work with is quite fun, as each real unit is at least a few grand, if not 20.
My favorite thing about this plug in, beyond the amazing sound, is the built-in wet/dry control, which makes parallel compression easy to use sparingly on individual tracks.
I'm enjoying it on drums, bass, GUITARS, vocals, synths, and it's a go-to mix tool now.
Very receptive to tweaking and feel, especially with the subtle DC and headroom controls, and the 660 is great for mono sources.

It's true. I demo'd it, and bought it shortly after. GREAT Price - thanks for the December sale and coupons, UA!
Add the 1A with default settings and it imparts a very pleasing, saturated tone to the overall sound of a mix without disturbing EQ. Of course there are many other uses but I really like this so much, I use it on everything now.

Impressive
Of course, I read the reviews before purchasing the LA-2A collection, of course it encouraged me to purchase it, of course I was confident knowing the extreme quality of UA products, of course I'm not a pro, neither mastering engineer nor HFO, of course one could considere that I'm not sufficient an expert to write a review, of course I never used the hardware equivalent BUT what I can tell you is that with these plugins, my music sounds soooooo well! so, what else?

Definitely a must have in the arsenal, it helps to add that desired character, punch and cut through the mix sweet compression that my tracks love!

NOT HAPPY AT ALL
I PURCHASED THESE 2 PLUG FROM MY COMPUTER CENTRAL AND I THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE AUTHORIZATION SECONDARY STATION.
I HAVE SENT SEVERAL TRANSFER AGENT FOR PERMITS A POSITION ON THE OTHER BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN ANSWERED.
PLEASE GIVE ME THE PROCEDURE TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM;
