Incredible, if you prefer!!!
Those plugs are wonderful. I was searching for very good comp and i've purchased classic limiter plugin collection.
What can i say more than: Perfect.
I now use, just these ones for my tracks, my basses are so evil with that sound i was looking for.
And the other instruments are here on my mix , each one shining, not muddy, just shining.
Just like a spolight on each.

Another home run for UA!
I got the 610B with my Apollo twin, and was pretty impressed with the plugin. It seemed to add very nice qualities to any recorded signal. But then I demoed the 610A and I'm still blown away by the euphonic sound!
The 610A is quickly becoming a must-have tool for my music projects. I cannot A/B against a real 610 hardware but IMHO these emulations are yet again a "level up" in modelled nonlinear audio processing. The Unison technology has vast potential and no doubt UA will introduce more sonic goodness as Unison pre plugins in the near future.
My only gripe with this plugin is the intense DSP cost (justifiable because of the sound, but still!). Hopefully (solid state?) upcoming pre emus will be possible with a smaller DSP footprint?

Beautiful Beautiful tone!
Just picked this up a few days ago. Absolutely beautiful tone! Very different tone from the LA-2a and 1176. The original Fairchild sounded great, and this is even better! Sounds amazing on everything I've tried it on. Really shines on vocals. Now I see why this compressor is so highly sought after. Just like the LA-2a and 1176, it adds a certain "magic" to any track. Pretty big hit CPU on my UAD Quad, but no complaints from me. It's worth it for the tone. Nothing but smiles every time I use it. Another winner from UAD. I'd highly recommend it. Completely satisfied. Can't stress enough how amazing the tone is! Love it!

A MUST HAVE!
As the lead engineer at Chris Paul Records, this is a must have for kicks, bass, or even mastering. It makes things louder with little or no distortion. You can definitely push the envelope.

Different flavors of musical mojo
I am having great fun playing with these and deciding which flavor goes with which track. I'm still not familiar enough to know which one to pick first because they all have so much character and they are definitely different from one another in both coloration and response curves. Despite the obvious coloration they still sound natural and not just stapled-on to a track like some comps tend toward. Nice to have choices, especially with compressors. And they are super-easy to set up, yet quite versatile. I appreciate the addition of the emphasis feature to put a little air back in when needed. Another great job UA!

great plug - bummer on the voucher
love the plugin, use it lots on di keys/bass - paid full price as i never got the voucher issued to apollo owners - bummer on that.

Amazing Plugin!!!
UA never seizes to amaze me. The quality and sound of this plugin is like no other. Cannot begin to explain how great it sounds. A must for any serious studio!

Ho provato questo plug- in sulla chitarra ritmica, sul basso elettrico ed acustico e sulla steel guitar: semplicemente FAVOLOSO!!!!!! Calore,corposità degli strumenti,dinamica sono presenti a livelli mai percepiti per un plugin. INIMITABILE!!!!!!!!

ITB mic pres that rock
I am blown away by both of these. I have 500 series Great River, API and Shadow Hills mic pres and was ready to buy another pair of high end pres, but after hearing these I'm actually choosing these (with the Apollo) over my other pre's. My wife's SG bass sounded superb through both of these (and the API vision as well) using the Hi-Z inputs on the Apollo, and we actually preferred the tone over the other mic pre DI's. Ditto for my Les Paul using the Apollo's Hi-Z and adding some LA-2A was like butter with extra butter. The green one: "sound like a hit record" and the brown one "smooth, baby". At least that's how I've dialed them. Thanks UA!

Awesome flavours
Absolutely brilliant sound. Amazing package with all the fat compression you need in 3 different flavours. Admitted it's a bit difficult to tell which version does what best, as it's all about which material you use it on. For my electronic drum/percussive tracks I think the AE model works best, while the white-faced version works better on synthbass, judging from my albeit short experience so far.

I needed a new user interface so I decided to get the Apollo quad. I really was not expecting much from UAD plugins. After all, how could a plugin sound like the real thing? never the less I bought UADs expensive plugins only to find out that UAD is in fact the best hardware emulating company the world has ever seen. Every plugin seems to be worth more than the price paid. Among the plugins I bought is the fairchild emulator. I notice that it adds dimension to any sound that passes through it. To make a long story short, just try it. I assure you, if you do , you will buy it.

Swice Tone 5000!!!
I was using my BAE 1073D for bass bc of the direct input.
bought this plug and started using it on bass. Now, I prefer it over my 1073's for direct bass. Havent really tried it on much else.
If you buy it... make sure you you put it in the preamp slot not the insert slot of the console/interface. (for proper Unison control) although if you apply it to both the preamp and instert, you can get some gnarly swice tones. thanks UA!

Bangin PI but it doesn't drive like the hardware...
You can hear the color and it's a nice addition to any track but it certainly doesn't act like it's hardware counterpart when you drive it hard. Bit of a resource hog as well... I'm sure it will come in handy for something. This is one I should have test drove first... my bad.
