Second Apollo Quad!
In three words: This unit rocks. Bought one 18 months ago and loved it immediately for the sound: very 'immediate' and musical. Specifically was looking for the best-sounding, lowest-latency interface that would integrate easily with ProTools and the Apollo with UAD's console software definitely fits the bill. It is very solid, well-built and feels great. Am putting together a more serious studio now, and with the second Apollo linked to the first, I'll have up to 32 in/out. Life is good!

Game-changing replacement for my previous interface. Sonically excellent, great build and the ability to utilize the UAD-2 plugins made this unique product a no-brainer for me. Great bundle promotion and coupons afterward as well.

Apollo Rocks!
I own two apollo duos and I use them in separate studio rooms. I plan to purchase another apollo duo in order to cascade two in my main studio room and buy a apollo twin for my MacBook mobile rig. Apollo is a great sounding audio interface and the drive the thunderbolt driver is rock solid. My wish for the interface is the UA would make a driver that will allow both Adat inputs to be used at the same time as 16 additional io in conjunction to the analog inputs. The RME fireface, Apogee Ensemble thunderbolt, antelope audio interface support 30+ io in a single interface without cascading. If I had both Adat inputs of 16 channel then I would not have to spend $2000 more to get 28 io. Also I would like cascading without using adat with TB.

Bloody Amazing!!
Admittedly, I was nervous when I had to replace our old MOTU, but as soon as I hooked the Apollo Quad up and had a listen, that nervousness quickly disappeared. I felt like I was hearing a whole lot more than I ever was. Everything sounds clear, well placed and well defined and I never had this before. And the Unison technology is pure genius. Everything just sounds right going in. Recording and routing between the Console and Logic is both brilliantly simple and simply brilliant. I wish this was out 10 years ago... I would have had this, rather than the MOTU. This thing is bloody amazing!!!

UAD Apollo Quad
This interface is really killer! I have a Mac Pro from around 2006 and hadn't upgraded my operating system since then. I was forced to upgrade to make this unit work. At first, I was really upset about this because my TRacks software wouldn't work after the upgrade. However, I started using the UAD plugins in place of them and it was really awesome! Sounded way better then TRacks did. I guess clearer is the correct term. Couldn't be happier. I just remastered my latest recording and getting ready to unleash it soon.

Killer so far!
Just getting it up and running at our school. So far very impressed. Quality construction, reliability, amazing sound. It just works and is generally awesome. No fuss. Looking forward to more UAD products.

The machine it self is great, along with all the plug ins that i brought.
Unforchantly the device broke within warranty and they have done nothing about it, they have taken upto 2 weeks to reply to any email sent to them and you are left on hold on the telephone when trying to speak to someone which cost aloud calling from the uk. So the unit has finally be sent to the repair shop with a time estimate of 2 - 5 days, its now 3 weeks late and I'm still waiting on the repair company to look at the unit!!!! they also say its now not in warranty as they have taken over a month and half over to look at it??? Joke
Totally unacceptable for a company like UAD to do to its customers.

Alucinante el hardware APOLLO QUAD Thunderbolt y los plugin, sobre todo el API VISION, teletronix LA-2A, AMS RMX 16 y LEXICON. El sonido perfecto, limpio y cristalino, mucho mejor que los previos de mi antigua rme ucx y otros que he tenido.
Analógico de alta calidad!!!

New to UA. Coming from Apogee Duet
I came from a FireWire Apogee Duet & purchased this at the recommendation of two friends in Nashville. One of the friends has worked as a producer on a Grammy winning album, and the other was in a successful rock band, and now produces from his humble home studio. So, one recommendation from a pro and one from an enthusiast.
Both of them assisted me through the setup process as well as UA customer service. There is a definite learning curve to this unit. Without their help, this would have been very frustrating.
I have now been up and running for 2 weeks and 2 projects.
This thing has changed my world. It sounds so rediculously better than the Duet even without any plugs running at all! I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

Just Awesome
My entry point into UA was with an Apollo Twin a few months age, and I was so impressed with it that I decided to move to a Quad for the additional I/O; and everyday since, I absolutely look forward to using it. For me it, along with the UAD-2 plugins, it represents a creative freedom with flexibility.
It's performance and quality are top notch (along with UA's service). I really can't say anymore than that. Kudos.

Can't have enough words to describe this box. Buy it and see for yourself. Have tried most of the UA Plugins and am ready to purchase some after they expire. They are addicting. Good kind of addiction to make great music to glorify God!

Best Interface, Best Preamps I've owned
The Apollo is now the foundation of my studio. The thunderbolt option makes it lightning fast, and I'm loving the realtime tracking using the Neve Preamp. My synths are sounding better than ever.

Bought Apollo Quad core yesterday. Fantastic device! UAD processing, great pre's and additional 8 channels of I/O for my ProTools HDX rig via ADAT! Unison preamps sounds very natural and transparent. But additional thanks for Manley Massive Passive plugin!!! Just put it to my vocal track insert - and "O yeah! It sounds completely like a Manley!!" Even without any adjustments!

I have spend more than 4000€ between the UA plugs, the apollo quad and a 1176 UA in a year and I wanted to spend 10.000 more in 2015 in 4x1176 + an apollo16, and I won't....WHY???
I've had an issue with the apollo, 2 weeks of online diagnosis and 3 weeks of repair with the official dealer in france before having it back. The dealer send me the interface with the preamp button broken but claims that it is the transport fault so I can't do anything.
I've lost 26 full days of studio booked for a client (a bit more than 5500€), my apollo is unsalable under 1000€ in france.
Now I'm going to post the longer version in all the professionnal websites. And I loved UA before all that.
Just no luck but I can't recommand

Stunning sound quality
I finally took the plunge this weekend and upgraded from my previous perfectly good sound card (Native Instruments KA6) and I have to say that I am utterly stunned by the difference it has made - the sound is so open and clear.
I bought the Quad primarily to be able to use the UAD plug-ins and I was only expecting a slight improvement in sound quality from the sound card change. The difference is as big as when I bought a pair of Focal monitors
The UAD plug-ins are awesome as well - meaty/punchy compressors and creamy EQs and no nasty digital high end.
The big downside is that you run out of DSP quickly - if I'm paying $300 for a plug-in I want to be able to use as many instances a want but, on balance, 5 stars anyway!

Great interface, Prés and converters...
This interface is amazing...the console is perfect for recording with low lactency.
The Prés and converters are also great for professional work.
After tracking for more that one year with this i just want to say...Good job UA...
