apollo uad multi-unit cascading 88.2khz

Im running two apollo quads, as well as a UAD 4-710, is it possible to run this configuration at 88.2khz? the UAD 4-710 will be running via adar so it is a digital signal. If this is possible could someone post a link to a diagram for the configuration of the units. Thanks so much

UA Apollo sounds great!

After spending some time with the Apollo this past two weeks, I have to say that I just love it... it sounds awesome to me. The stereo field seems open and clear and the low end sounds cohesive and tight. The initial setup is a breeze and in no more than 15 minutes you're basically ready to go: i had no troubles whatsoever.

The Apollo console gives you the freedom to route tracks in a easy and fast way.
I love the opportunity to track with plugins with no latency, which opens up lots of applications in live scenarios, and the chance to actually "print" them into the track in the studio.

I use my Apollo in combination with a SSL X Desk and i think i just found the right setup for producing and mixing my music. And i love it.

apollo the mission !

first I would like to type .thanks you UA for making a great piece . and two for making a great sounding interface... a friend told me about UA and the plugin's and that I should invest... well I picked up the quad, and every day been using it. The AD_DA convertors are great an the software matches up to my Protools 10 and 11 set up Nicely !! I love the software mixer. the next to Zero latency.. the much smaller rack space to add more gear . and the inputs and outs....... any one that's reading this... im not getting paid for typing, I'am telling you my real time thoughts of the everyday use of My APOLLO.. and plugin's ...

An incredible interface - legacy series plugins a letdown

This piece replaced my Alesis io14 and is a huge upgrade. The pres are really transparent and responsive - they make even an DI bass or guitar sound lively but not coloured. My cheap apex 460 tube mic sounds great through it. The only let down with the core quad package is the "legacy" series plug-ins. After demoing many of the other plug-ins that were designed for UAD-2 (1176 Classics, LA-2A) they are all MUCH better sounding than any of the legacy versions. I may have to use the custom upgrade package UA offered upon registering, but I wish that I didn't have to shell out another $300-$700 dollars to get the plug-ins I really want to use only a month after purchasing a $2500 piece of gear.

Still an amazing unit.

Experience with Apollo Duo

I live in Germany and work as a voice actor and producer. In my studio I use a FIREFACE UCX and a FIREFACE UCX from RME for 2 different setups. I also have a LA 610 MKII, UA 6176 and Satellite Duo apart of AVALON 737 SP.

Apollo has a great sound. No doubt - but its not better than Fireface UCX or even UFX. For me was almost impossible to listen some difference in all tests.

But after some days of tests I send it back to my supplier. The reason was the software interface. Comparing with RME TotalMix FX it was like to compare an iPhone 5 with a NOKIA from 1992. Apart of it some plugins DOENST work without delay as announced - like "Precision Multiband Plug-In". In this case a Satellite was the best option for me.

Sorry UAD :/

Apollo Quad is amazing

The Apollo Quad is such a great addition to my studio. The a/d d/a, Apollo console and the UAD processing has taken my mixes to the next level

Apollo Quad

A must have.

This is by far the best interface I have ever had. Very simple to set up and the preamps sound great. The software is very logical and the plug ins work as they should without slowing down my laptop. I highly recommend this interface for anyone who is serious about recording.

The Apollo Has Landed

Apollo Quad

I recently just purchased this unit and i must say i am amazed. It integrated straight into my workflow and just made everything sound better off the bat. I am running on a windows system and my DAW is cubase.(i am making the connection firewire) It is very stable. The UAD plugs are great and the fact that i can monitor no latency from the UA console is marvelous. The UA Apollo is great. clean analog-digital-analog conversion, clean preamps and user friendly. I wish they would have included MIDI but i will let it slide.

Massive Upgrade From The M-Box Mini to the Quad Apollo

Not having much of a technical background when it comes to choosing the most solid up-to-date electronic gear, I knew that that Avid M-Box Mini Interface is a piece garbage. I mean, if you're just getting started with the whole home recording deal, then maybe that's what you need for now (hey, it's a lot cheaper than then the Apollo!). After putting together the Apollo I was impressed. The preamp is so much clearer. I don't care for the monitor volume control though. It's not a smooth transition. Overall, I would recommend this piece of equipment if you are looking for a more "crisp" sound. P.S. they're a pretty penny.

Hardware tops, software, not so much

Love UA hardware. Love UA plug-ins. Performance is a step into all-pro land. No one should think twice about taking the leap.

The Software control application Console is the only weak link. While sessions are running knobs and sliders stop working as the hardware prioritizes audio bandwidth. The graphic interface (a mixer) is a little too busy (evrery detail is stroked full contrast) making the aux feed slider and other functional components difficult to see at a glance. It's great that plug-ins can be used, even recorded, but more than three on the board and FireWire freezes up. Another mystery is a dialog box generated by UA that FireWire bandwidth has been exceeded...even when I'm not doing any audio work and the computer is idle.

Apollo DUO

The sound quality is the best I have ever worked with using an interface.
The Apollo Duo real time gives the sound a most natural sound.
It range is far beyond any other units I have used in our system.
It is truly a great analog processor.

Great Interface

Apollo is better than expected. Did a long A/B comparison today against a single-channel $1,200 mic preamp, and although there were subtle differences, the Apollo pre's were really good, and even preferable in some circumstances. Add to that a lot of I/O, low-latency monitoring, and UAD plug-in processing, and this makes for a great interface. Worth every penny.

Nuevo APOLLO, nuevo Estudio

Road Worthy

Hi All
I have just done a block of recording in remote Australia using the UA Apollo, recording up to 12 tracks, sending headphone sends to producer, main out to camera and operator, one to myself, and recording straight to Pro Tools. Apollo never played up, in very hot conditions, was an ease to use and mix on when we returned back to base. Awesome kit..few thoughts though, when adjusting the pre amp gain, seem to need to activate gain knob twice to change gain, very finicky with power up mode, so as not to get firewire overload, even if no plug ins are present, but that had no effect on the audio. After you return from linked stereo tracks they loose their panning, love the Pro Tools mode, plug ins are very addictive.
Have fun with yours

Not yet

I haven't found the Universal I/O section in Pro Tools 10 or 11 yet. When I get Pro Tools to play fair I'll test and review the Apollo.
