Apollo Twin duo MKII
Apollo Twin duo MKII is the best complement to my old Apollo 8. Easier vor life performance and more power in studio.

A major upgrade
I am mixing a singer/songwriter album, and I have been so impressed with my Apollo Twin QUAD. I use Logic for my DAW. Basic tracks were recorded remotely through a Behringer X-Air rack. Running the session through the Apollo revealed detail and depth that were masked on my old Apogee converters. The UAD plugins are a game-changer for my home studio. I'm excited to explore more this summer.

Now it sounds Pro!
For me it was the perfect time to switch to UA-Family. With the Apollo twin MKII Quad I can record and mix like a pro. UA-Plugins and my Apollo twin let me enter the Pro-Stage. Thanx UA And Kind regards from Germany Andy

Great piece of equipment as always, but...
The power supply leaves a little to be desired. A few times the unit has powered down after feeling very securely plugged and operational (and not moving at all). Not sure why UA went for wall wart style with a standard 9v plug (apart from saving space on the rear of the unit) when the UAD Satellite has a 5 pin input with IEC from mains to transformer...

Brilliant small interface
Being an owner of an apollo 8 also, the apollo twin was an easy step forward for me. However some things are a bit of an inconvenience. I had to buy a new thunderbolt hub, because the apollo twin only has 1 thunderbolt output, and i thought that it was possible to daisy chain that interface, the same way as the larger ones. That together with the high price of the Quad version, makes it a bit hard to give this product 5 stars, even though it deserves it

I just went from my old Presonus Audiobox to this. No comparison in audio quality alone. I cannot stress this point enough. Also, I've barely messed with a couple plugins so far and the quality seems to be so far above and beyond what I am using in Studio One 3 Professional. I really like the fact that I can use two pairs of monitors and just hit a button on the unit to switch between them. The converters are really good as well thank goodness! I really haven't had enough time to truly dig deep into this to give it a full blown customer review but it's already made a giant differnce in my music world.

It's ok
Wish it had a separate headphone control , the unit also runs hot and the plugins that come with the unit, 'not the demo stuff' could be much better. I guess it's a clever marketing move to get you into buying more. On a different note, customer service was really good when my mkii had an issue.

Nice improvements
I got this upgrade for just the talkback mic. There are some other nice features, especially the layout of the front panel!

A new heart for my system
I'm coming from an Apogee Symphony and was looking for a traveling rig that is portable and professional. I've been blown away with how good my new Apollo Twin quad both performs and sounds! Not only do I get to finally enter the world of UA plugins..but I'm currently using my Apollo both at home (in place of symphony) and on the road! Thank you UA. Finally a company and product that lives up to the hype.

Excellent audio and construction quality
Probably the best in this category, everything sounds better through it, you plug in, turn it on and it's done, very easy to use and excellent sound quality!!

In a word ....PERFECT!!! .... for my home studio...
No latency issues, great plugins with incrediby rich easily configurable sounds...
The console is user friendly/easy to navigate...
This is a must buy for a home studio!!!!!

Twin Rocks
I've got an Apollo 8 Quad that I like to keep racked in the studio. The Twin is perfect for working at home or anywhere on the go and still have access to all my UA plugs. Love it!

Latency
After comparing it to my UR22 and Focusrite, I felt the latency was the same. Also, i noticed audio jitters and trouble with disabling interface audio when recording guitars in my daw. Muting it solved the issue, but a lot goes into the console that I find tedious. I would like to mute the audio directly from the interface, without using the console interface on my computer. That is annoying. If there is a way, I have not figured it out, and that is a problem because it should be easy to figure out. The UR22 has a DAW knob so you can easily shut off the interface monitoring.
Obviously the lack of horsepower under the hood of the twin solo, vs cost is an issue as well. Reducing plugin cpu usage through frequent updates is important. Ultimately I returned my twin solo mk2. I wanted something better than Steven Slate, but after seeing the cost per plugin, it just did not make sense

Amazing piece of Hardware with an amazing price tag
The Twin MKII is absolutely amazing - I was in the market for a monitoring/talkback station as well as a couple more pres for my studio to compliment my apollo quad.
When I first read the features of the twin I was blown away. Monitoring station, 2 mic pres and extra processing power all for under 1K canadian. Hell of a deal, I am constantly impressed with quality of new products put out by UA and will be a customer for life.
