A high price to pay

They never seem to discount the distortion essential bundle and it forces anyone who really just wants a pedal to drive their amp plugins, to pay a premium. I have to assume this pays off for them or it’s a licensing issue. It’s the missing link for me, between having to use physical gear and being able to use just my Apollo and Luna. It forces me away from the ecosystem because once I need to dip out of Luna, I prefer to use Logic, as luna has issues (I’m sure intentionally) with non-UA plugins. $49 for each pedal is a fair price. Not offering them separately is unfair and dare I say it, insulting to all us loyal customers pumping money into the UA cash cow, knowing the spark sub is going to make us all regret it later. Do better UA!

Not that good

I expected too much. This bundle is not that good.

maybe

I've tried all 3 of these on demos and they sound pretty good. The TS and Raw pedals are available from a lot of plugin makers for cheap and there is nothing special about the UAD version. I would love to get the Bermuda but not at this price. Brainworx sells its guitar pedals for $25 when they are on sale and they are as good as anything UA offers.

A lot of people say that got RAW for free. How's that work? I've been a customer for around 15 years and was never offered this for free.

Bundle (only use tube screamer)

I only needed tube screamer (still got the raw-distortion for free) I have to buy the whole bundle. Great sounding tube screamer (five stars), those two plugins I´ll never gonna use! So it's quite expensive (three stars)

Great plugins

I bought this bundle because I wanted to use the Ibanez on 808's. The Ibanez is sounding really really great! The only complains I have is that I can't use the Ibanez, but I have to use the TS Overdrive. I have used the Ibanez in several paid projects, and now I have to replace them all and match the settings. And second, you have to buy this whole bundle if you only need 1 plugin. And that said, everyone already owns the Raw plugin... So yeah, but the quality it good at least so I can't complain.

Not the best from UA

I prefer to use the real stomp boxes as they sound much more realistic to me. I love most of UA plugins and have spent lots and am usually blown away. That being said, I wish I had saved the cash on this bundle. Maybe add more tube screamer analogue circuits, sucks it only does one. The fuzz pedal Sounds best of the three to me. They work if you don’t have the pedals themselves though.

Good but overpriced

Why the “bundle” when one of them is free? We all know most UA plugins are good, but we are all captive to being ripped off on their stupid pricing as there’s no other choice. It hurts a bit less on sale, but only because it seems like you’re getting a bargain when a $250 plugin is $150. Why is every other companies plugins so much cheaper. These guys are up there with Avid ProTools in exploiting every last dollar out of their clients they basically have by the balls.

Distortion bundle

Turns out I like the Free Raw plugin the best. I have an original tube screamer, which I would prefer to use after trying the plugin but I guess the plugin might be a good runner up if you don’t have a real one.

Great sound: No MIDI control???

These pedals each have a unique character. I especially like the Raw pedal, but I'm really disappointed that there is no MIDI control. In fact, I think ALL UA plug-in parameters should be capable of being controlled from any external MIDI switch.

Essential Pedals for your guitar rig.

I'm not a guitar player. I just use electric guitars for demo recording. So I'm learning how to control guitar and amp tones. But still, I'm not sure these simulations works as they should. They sound not bad, but the range of 'fine' tones are very narrow with sims. Do I have to wait for 5 to 10 more years?

Just Sayin'

I bought all of of the real vintage pedals for cheaper than this software bundle.
Purchased in 1980, 1@ Ibanez Tube Screamer = $55, Purchased in 1988 Big Box Proco Rat $80, 1974 Big Muff $50.00.
