Great plugin
Great, musical, plugin, but it has a learning curve for newer engineers and mixers. Not a simple plugin, but sounds amazing.

I found the Manley® Variable Mu Limiter Compressor plugin to be subtle to work with and yet quality sounding.

Very Good, but Handling could be better
I am using the Manley now instead of the SPL Iron i used before in the Master chain. The Manley has a much clearer sound. But i found the SpL better in the handling as a plugin. Both work very well for me as Mastering Compressors. I would like a compressor not with the hardware front usage in a plugin but with a good software handling and the sound of good hardware.

Very nice
This is about as good as it gets for hassle-free, in-the-box vocal tracking. Definitely watch the quick tips vids and read the manual to understand how everything works. The only reason I knock a star off is because I have the native version and it requires an internet connection to load. Boo.

Manley VOXBOX--Great to have the preamp--Other controls too small in the GUI
Looked in vain for an option to view it in different sizes. I own a real hardware version of the VoxBox, and I can hear the characteristics in the preamp simulation. So bravo on the sound, but I know I'll shy away from using the expanded capabilities until there's an option to look at it larger.

Great preamp
own the voxbox already, so I got this one free with two discounts, why bother? simple enough, I wanted the tone of the preamp, less dsp and to hit a noise gate before compressing my vocals. The preamp alone offers flexibility to use other processes on my vocal chain going into my DAW. The voxbox is great all in one tool on it's own, visually this preamp is more upfront and less options to choose from, so I can make quicker adjustments to my chain. Great sound. Love it.

After buy the Voxbox i habe buy this little pre, its nice to give my voice after the recording a little bit of warm tube sound

MANLEY TUBE PREAMP IS WARM AND JUST RIGHT
Just try a demo of this. I don't even feel like a review is necessary. This and/or the Voxbox on ANY type of vocals, hiphop, pop, countryyyyyy, whatever, So warm and clean. Virtually distortion free if dialed right. I dont wanna say "but its good on," taking away from the facts I just stated, but, I do gotta say: lowkey, play with this joint on some bass... enjoi

This tool the more you use the more you understand it’s a favorite of many producers. Very smart combination of tools that work together. Not only for voice btw. The more I use it the more I start to appreciate it

Affordable and yet very versatile
Precise modules specifically designed for vocals. Ease of use and plenty patches helped me get quickly to sought after sound. I just love it. I just wished all plugins were freed from the shackles of UAD Card. Hopefully all will be on SPARK ⚡️

Expected more
After reading all the glowing reviews I took the plunge. Avalon is more versatile in my opinion. Each has a unique sonic signature so it may just be a matter of taste. Still a really great value to get all this control in one plugin.
