Awesome!
Did a small live event with my wife as the vocalist. I finally tried my apollo twin duo in a live setting.
My chain... The apollo twin duo, the Neve 1073, the Cambridge EQ, the LA-2A-L, the Pultec Pro Legacy, a Telefunken m80 and an outboard BBE 482i as my signal chain. RealVerb Pro on an Aux. Ran it all into a small format mixer then to powered speakers.

This plug in is worth twice the price! I've used it in Unison-I have a few outboard Neve preamps now I have a few more-DSP hungry yes, but possible to use the preamps alone while tracking then you can colour the tracks with the less hungry SÉ and Legacy EQ's-as soon as I use these as inserts, the tracks instantly sit well in any mix I've used them on-I have many UA plugins but this one has quickly become my number one!

I have the 1073 plugin which is great...now with the 1081 I now have an even wider pallet of that great Neve EQ - sounds great!

Far and away my favorite EQ!
In theory I should be able to get the tone and professionalism from my DAW that this EQ allows. I tried and tried but I cannot. This EQ makes my mixes come to life. It sounds amazing, it breathes... air, enhances and enchants and doesn't even use that much DSP. For me, this the 1081 is essential. I pair this with an sm7b for a vocal tone that is unparalleled. It breathes life into muddy tracks and makes everything feel awake. Great job, UAD. Best EQ ever.

Amazing Sound and Flexibility
I already had the 88RS Legacy strip and demoed the new 88RS, put them both on the same track and went back and forth. The 88RS sound is so much closer to the analog board and I was amazed. Both the 88RS and the Legacy version sound great, but have different character, so I use them both.
My only issue with the new 88RS is the DSP use...maybe the most of any plugin I have. That's why it gets a 4. Soundwise, it's a 5.

Sounds incredible

If you could turn an Orgasm into sound, it would be the 1073.
If you could turn the FEELING of an Orgasm into sound, thats what the 1073 plugin is like.
It tickles your earlobe and then crawls inside to throb its way into your happy place. Then you have to turn the sound off because your ears are suddenly too sensitive.
Every time I track a vocal with this thing, the punch, the clarity, no matter what mic I use, HOW DO IT KNOW?! HOW??
This plugin will give you the greatest vocal you ever had, and then it'll hold you while you smoke a cigarette. It doesn't care about your past, it loves you for who you are. And its going to stay right here...and it will never cheat on you with your f--king a-hole drummer.
Open the door. Let the 1073 in. You know you want to.

Love this plugin! Like the Pultec, just inserting this makes my tracks sound better. Using it on the way in is even better and saves time mixing. I love pushing it a bit on drums to give them some grit. Guitars and vocals sound incredible as well.

Easy to use and it's unison so a must have for any Apollo owner !
I've been using this more and more recently on all sources but it's killer on guitar cabs !

If you use unison preamps inserting it's a must have the 88rs adds something special straight away !
Demo it and be prepared that you will want it for your next session !

Great sounding Channel Strip
Great sounding Channel Strip. I also use the API Vision Channel Strip. Both sound great, and I use their different characters depending on the Sound I want to have.

EP-34 Echo Tape Plugin

The UA 88RS Channel Strip is very sweet, very powerful and with loads of Neve vibe and big open sound.
I've worked with many analog consoles over the years, including both vintage and newer Neves. The UA 88RS Channel Strip feels right to me. There's simply a lot to love here and it's definitely something to be excited about! My advice is... grab it!
And for kicks, cruise over to AMS Neve and search for Universal Audio plugins... AMS Neve fully endorses the UAD Neve plugins right there on their website. Now that's a pretty impressive thing!
