I use 88RS on my vocal chain with 1073
I put the legacy version with a gate on together with 1073 on vocal chain and can simulate a quiet room at my rather noisy home with a condenser mic. Combined together sounds smooth but uses hardly any dsp on my Apollo Solo. But it would be good if console had a built in gate.

My favorite UAD plugin... it is Native too. I received an ilok license and I see the 1073 listed in my UAD Native plugin list, and also in my UAD-2 DSP list. UAD needs to update their website to reflect this. Also, KIT Blackbird has nothing on this.

Excellent DSP - crap UAD owner loyalty
I've owned the 88RS since it was first released (classic). Uaudio doesn't understand customer loyalty. Is it right to release a new version of the 88RS, and tell existing owners that they'll have to fork over more money for the new version of the same plugin? Does that make sense? An upgrade path shouldn't cost you the same amount as a discount deal... $99. I would understand maybe $30 for the upgrade. That's reasonable, but not $100 or more for the plugin that should be upgraded for existing owners.
Don't lose face... regain your honor and make existing 88RS owners whole.

Never finish a full mix without the Neve 1073 Preamp on any of your tracks because you will feel like something is missing…this is one of UAD’s most serious emulations

Vocals Shine when tracked with the 1084
Near finished vocals production is what I get whenever I track vocals with the UAD Neve 1084 and applying gentle EQ, compression and necessary fx helps vocals to cut though the mix easily

Once again - like all of my other UA plugins, this has got to be the closest and most clear emulation. I would bend over backwards for UAD.

Good fun, bright
Only had limited use of the original but a fun addition when on sale. Sounds very bright which I don’t recall from the original so I don’t recommend it as a Unison pre. Screw up your sound later and undo it at any point before mixing is key. As ever, bypass is your friend. Clunky interface as far as switching between Line and mic input, I don’t know why it should be any more tricky than the real deal to use but I guess it’s better than dealing with flaky patch cables.
Looks cool but could be more moise friendly. If you want more flavor, get the V76 though watch the input cos it overloads more easily.
