It is what it is.
This plugin its just extremely great! but it takes a lottt of your DSP ( a lot ). But its very worthless, and expensive too. Its just what you need if you want that NEVE sound and you cant afford a neve preamp jet. I use it with a U87 and works flawless. The bad thing is i bougth it on SALE in 200$ and now its on SALE in 99$. :o

unison technology - not too bad at all
The UA website states: 'Developed by UA’s world-renowned team of DSP engineers, UAD plug-ins set the standard by which all other audio plug-ins are judged.'
This is the only plugin developer I am aware of that also posts revealing shootouts.
I think that's pretty good. What do you think?

Neve 1073, is on point
coming from an apogee Duet, the Twin with the neve emulation is just a different planet.

Lovely pre & Eq
The pre and the eq work for wide variety of sources from vocals to synths. Nice open sound and extremely small tweaks are needed to make sources sound more alive. Highly recommended.

solid channel strip
Had the legacy 88rs for years but wanted the unison option now that I have the apollo interface as well as the uad cards. Love this 88rs. Sounds great and very useful comp/gate and eq. Only issue- in sonar sometimes the plugin's metering for comp stops responding- the comp is still active but you can't see gain reduction etc. Thats the only issue I have, other than that it was great on every mix and now for a tracking option with the unison pres.

Very good EQ and preamp. I like how the plugin seems to create a bit of space around the track, giving it a little better definition in the mix without even engaging the EQ. The EQ curves behave like the hardware and the sound is quite close (although not really there, don't believe the hype). Not night and day vs the Scheps 73, but a little better and smoother. A little thicker, if a little subdued in comparison, but in a good way. Smoother highs, no bad hype. Low end filter is good. It's a power hog though and the SE regular version is damn close. Very satisfying to use!

Easy to use, pleasing to the ears
I've always loved channel strip plugins because they provide the bread and butter you need for mixing any track within a single plugin. Compared to my other favorite channel strip plugins, most notably the SSL ones, this sounds a bit 'rounder' to my ears whereas the SSL sounds a bit 'sharper'. I know that's a bit vague but you probably know what I mean. I've never mixed on an actual Neve so I couldn't tell you how it sounds compared to that, but I can tell you that to my ears it sounds good. Real good. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because it's nothing new. I would have loved to see for instance a dry/wet knob for the dynamics section, but other than that you hear no complaints from me :)

Sounds great!
This is a great plugin! I've owned it for about a week and I love the variety of sounds you can get from it, from settle compression to really radical saturation from the pre-amp! In short: a really useful plugin. Only con is that it's very DSP hungry and I can only use 4 instances at the same time.

Perfect complement to my other Neve's
I own most of the UA plugins and i really should have this one earlier. I find myself using it more and more. The sheen, clarity and character it adds is awesome. All the Neve character with none of the repair bills!

Great but too small
Great EQ but why is it have to be so small and twiddly? I'd love to see a bigger version of this (and the Neve 1081)!

Tested some and found this to have the warmest sound. It works great with all instruments incl. vocal

Love this thing
I got this plugin to have a good vox strip. I like the sound but it's kinda hard to dial in custom setttings since I'm not used to it. I wish they had more tuts on how to get the best out of it, because I know it'll be great once I learn how to used it better. If anyone wants to offer some advice on it, that'd be cool!
