Game Changer.
I used other tape saturation plug ins in the past but this one sounds incredible once you just put it on your tracks. Easy to operate and it gives your sounds new life and kind of analog glue. Now I am working on not over using this stuff on everything. Believe me it's not esasy :) Essential tool for Music produced in your DAW !

Supernice
Nice tape machine. Good second option to the A800

Nice Saturation.....
I own the Ampex and the Studer and I demoed this just to see if it was worth having. I can honestly say that it is a worthy addition - its great having a few less options than the Studer when looking for some straight forward tape emulation - especially nice on synths and keys - definitely a good by.

One of the best tape emulations.
Out of the 3 tape emulation I own, this is my favorite, put it on every track and enjoy the results of a tight, punchy mix.

Back at early 90's
I wanted to try the UA tape emulations and finally get Oxide. It remember me the time of the tape sound. Warmth, body. Simply, great sound.

Useful on Group
I use Oxide as bus compressor on every group I create and the results are great.

Interesting
I can remember using two inch reel to reel back in the early nineties, but honestly can't recall the effect it had on the overall sound, but this plug in does do something lovely and interesting to sound.

Classic tape sound
Adds that classic tape sound to any track to glue together the mix. Learn to master it and you'll improve your mixes remarkably. Recommended.

Great Tape, easy to use !!
I love tapes and I tend to use them on every channel, I love the studer that does a great job for removing harshness and brightness on high and add warmth on low. I tried Oxide and the simplicity and the color pushed me to get it to have more flavor to play with. I recommend it on kick, bass, and anything you want really to add a nice round touch. Just try it !!

Gospel Beats
This plugin sounds great on any track you put it on. I mainly use it for vocals, can't explain what it's doing to the vocals, but they just sound better after putting it on the track; simply using the vocal preset. It sounds good on your overall mix as well. If you do all of your mixing in the box, this plugin will add some analog warmth to your tracks, and make it sound less digital.

Easy quick-fix plugin
I was told how amazing the UAD tape plugins could be and I found out straight away with this plugin. Simple to use, great presets to start from, and great sounding results. I found the slight bass bump, gentle compression, and warmth/saturation of this plugin to instantly improve a variety of sources, from kicks, to bass guitar, to vocals. All this in a reasonable DSP cost package per instance. Killer plug.

Double-edged sword
Be careful with all digital saturators. The oxide tape likewise makes the sound stronger and weaker.

Oxide - Excellent
Easy to use, great sounds. I like to drive the input and back off the output so it's running close to unity gain. Great on bass DI track to add some color and life. Plan on using this plugin a lot in the future!

Great for thickness
This plugin is best used across all tracks. This adds subtle harmonics and a sweet thickness across the whole track. Much cheaper than the other tape emulators and just as good imo.

GREAT JOB UAD!!
I've been using the Slate VTM for years now. VTM gave my mixes depth and a nice dose of glue. While VTM worked and does its job I still felt my mixes lacked the warmth. I've Oxide was the answer!!! It's quick and easy and doesn't tax the DSP. I feel like I've found the flavor my mixes was lacking!!!

Good UA Tape sim
This is an excellent tape sim and very affordable. It doesn't touch the Ampex or Studer in capabilities but offers a lot for little. This is a good place to start if you want some tape sound but don't have a ton of money for the brand name machines. I still throw it on tracks even though I own the others. A great deal!

Another one!
I own the two big brothers and I must say, I was putting this off as I didnt think I needed more tape machines in the mix. WRONG! I demo'd this one night and purchased the next day. I am often grabbing this over the other two for certain situations. If you demo it, be prepared to buy!
