What see is What you get
Sounds great is very simple to use, VU's seem to only register input gain would be nice to be able to see the output too.

Great tape simulator
I've been testing out the MKII DUO and decided to give a few plugins a demo. For what I do, the Oxide tape plugin sounds great! I'm a podcaster and feel this plugin adds a little something extra to my vocals.

Great tape saturation
i got very very good results with this one on drums guys..not only acoustic material, tried on electronic as well...so simply to use and great presets ready to use...only 4 stars because there's no auto-compensation level when you turn up the input..

Subtle & simple
Oxide is a simple way to add tape saturation to tracks. There isn't a wholelotta options, but the sounds you get are well worth the price of admission.

Warmth
Like it on drums. Adds a nice warmth. Especially to kicks. Both in an out!

Wonderful Color
I really like the compression and tonal smoothing of Oxide. I've tried other tape emulation plugins and this is first that had a tone, not just an effect. Easy on the DSP too! I've already demo'd the Studer and Ampex emulations and they are next on my wish list.

Good tape emulator
It's a good tape emulator with good tools but if you have the Studer A 800 and the Ampex ATR-102 this one is something less than this other two.
But if you don't have the Studer or the Ampex it's a great tape!

Nice for a lot of traks
When I make Projects with lot of Tape-Emulation, then These Plug-In is on the right place. But I am still not shure all the Tapes are really in Synch when it Comes to Wow and flutter. Normaly all the Machines must be locked in synch! I want to emulate one Multi track tape and not many different single tapes, you know. ;-)

Oxide Tape Recorder Plugin
This thing works great. It gives a great driving sound to instruments and clarity when needed. definitely worth a look.

nice highend
nice highend but it is difficult to use. when we miss use it, we can easily add excessive high. but if we understand exactly what oxide do, it can give rich bright tone as well !

Excellent
In my opinion, the best of the Tape Simulators!!

Pretty good
it is a dsp-friendly tape sim. Not the best or most customizable but FAR from the worst. it fits well with drums and bass.

Great for subtle warmth and organic overdriven vocals
Had a topline to deliver which needed a bit of edge. Works wonder on pop vocals that need that a bit of help sitting right in the mix.

Cool plugin
Nice little plugin to use for that exaggerated tape sound! I bought it with a cool promotion and I try to use it all the time, sometimes it works magics sometimes it's too much, like many other colorful plugins it's another tool in my arsenal! Well done (again) UAD!

Good low cost alternative to Studer
For only $100, you can get a pretty solid tape emulation. It doesn't consume tons of DSP or CPU, and it's good for not-so-extreme settings. I'll put it over a lot of drums, and the main controls I mess with are the input and outputs.
I haven't figured out all of it's secrets or really amazing settings, but the IPS speeds are pretty cool to flip between and the noise reduction is a nice touch.
Just state your goal, and push the input until you get the color you want!

Great tape saturation - easy on CPU
So satisfying to add 30+ channels of saturation on tracks and instantly have them play fatter and smoother. Even more satisfying to see that it is so easy on CPU.

Supernice
Nice tape machine. Good second option to the A800
