Authentic colour and performance
These really sound and respond like vintage 1176s, and for me the jump in quality and character was worth the upgrade from the legacy 1176 which came bundled with my interface. And that one was pretty nice to start with.

Great upgrade...
... from the legacy ones. Always have this on bass now and it's great for bg vox as well! Very fun to play with the different models which has different responses to the tracks. Great to record with for instance the grey one and track with the silver model.

So much better than Waves!
Lives on my drum tracks and great for rock vocals. Like the AE-version best. The difference from the legacy ones are super well worth the purchase!

Can't track drums without it now but for me it really, really shines on vocals. Sweet sounding tape compression! Love it!

One of the best...
... sounding plugins I've ever used. Wish I had the DSP to run this on all channels. Sounds beautifully when the preamp gets pushed and the compressor and EQ fits me perfectly! This one in combination with the Studer on all channels would be a dream setup!

So Much Punch
I love the sound of this plugin collection. Ever since I have purchased it, it has been a huge part of my production and mixes. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that the 1176 collection will add value to you as an engineer.

great.
I love this thing. just a few twists and you are recording a finished sound. I wouldn't consider it risky to track with some moderate Eq and compression. you just can't really mess much up with this thing.

Sounds SO GOOD!
Man this plugin is great. I have been using API's for years now and I seriously believe this Plug. The mic gain is sometime/most times all you need to make a track really sing. I only wish that they would do a update that would not be unison so you can use up less dsp.

I have to say I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I think this will be my No.1 reverb for a loooong time :) has nice thickness and richness really makes mix wider and prettier.

UA is doing so much good work with this current generation of plugs. Almost too many options. I've been fortunate enough to use many of the hardware versions over 30 years and there is very little appreciable sonic difference now. More importantly, the cumulative effect of using these total circuit emulations just makes me smile. It's as close as we've ever been to bridging the gap while retaining the convenience, workflow and mobility of digital.
The API Vision is a workhorse. Learn it inside out and expand as necessary. The Neve 1073, 1176 Collection, LA2A Collection and Fairchild 670 are all fantastic. There really are no bad choices. You'll likely get them all in time. Worry less about the tools and make some music

Great easy to use tape sound
Just as the title says , I have all the tape plugins and this one is definitely the quickest to use ; easy presets to make your tracks sound better

If you never used it, you don't know how you missed it.
That's the way mixing becomes this warm and smooth character you'll never achieved with conventionell plugins!

Found the secret for drums and Percussion!!!!
In the 8o's I went to a studio in Asbury Park NJ for a session, They made my drums sound so huge and I fell in love with "that" sound, Granted I knew nothing about recording and engineering, 30 years later... I have my own studio and I'm in school for engineering and trying my best to learn how THAT sound was made!!!! After I went through the demo for the Lexicon 224 I realize that "it" was the exact copy of my drums, and Vox, and well everything on the mix. So I'm just gonna say it , and excuse my saying what everyone has already said. Just go for it, it has THE sound and will always be useful and a classic. Between this the EMT 140 and The Eventide you got rev. covered. Thanks Peace to all !!!!

Surprisingly Unexpected
I own the waves la2a and had the legacy edition as well. This is another beast. I have a feeling the other two are about to collect dust. This thing can be worked harder than the aforementioned variations without being obvious. Love it, thanks.
